The mods will never put information on plurk that is unavailable on the official comms. IC ARRIVAL You awake in a small room that resembles a rustic doctor's office. You are on a padded table, unrestrained, and nearby is a short ledge with your things on it-- along with a gleaming, silver hand mirror. When you pick up the hand mirror, the figure of a person shimmers onto the surface, but they are looking past you. It's a recording, not someone really there, and the woman is noticeably inhuman. She is tiny not in that she's short but in that she's truly miniature, white haired though not old, and has a calm, reserved demeanor. Her features are faintly squashed and exaggerated, and she has a vague accent, not quite Irish. "Hello. I apologize for not greeting you myself, but if I did that for every one of you I'd never have a chance to do my real job. You'll have to suffice with this for now. "You're in Darstone-- an underground city that is the last refuge of the able-bodied and healthy on this world. We've brought you here to, we hope, aid us, but we don't intend to keep you prisoner. You've free reign of the city, and you'll find your housing assignment listed along with your contact address on this mirror. "Should you come to this city's aid time and again, and prove your dedication and trustworthiness, we will give you access to the portal that brought you here, and allow you to return home, if you still wish to at that time. I vow that this is true, and implore you to settle here, and to truly give us a chance. "A guide both to the city and to this mirror will appear once this message has finished. Please read it over before exiting your room, and if any questions remain, contact us through official channels. "Welcome to Darstone... and thank you." Basic information about the game will then appear on the screen, comparable to what you as a player know already. Upon leaving the room, there will be a long, empty hallway leading out into the streets of the government district. From there, what happens is up to you.
