RULES AND REGULATIONS Check the taken characters and the reserve page to ensure that your character isn't already taken. We do accept nearly every type of character, including canon, minor, AU, game imports, OCs, fandom OCs, and so forth. There is one canon and one AU version of each character allowed. Especially minor characters may be evaluated as fandom OCs, but are appable under that distinction. Please remove the sections of the application that do not pertain to your character. You can play up to five characters at one time. Two of those characters can be from the same canon. You may bring in two characters per calendar month, discounting rejections. If you wish to apply for a sixth character overall or a third canonmate, contact us individually. App challenge policy is as follows: we will wait the length of the reserve for the original reserver to apply, and judge their application first, independently and not comparatively. Only if they are rejected will the challenger be assessed. Without a reserve, apps will be assessed in the order they are received-- again not against each other, but each one at a time. We would prefer if you do not delete your comments upon rejection or acceptance. Simply ask us and we will screen the entire thread on request for privacy, no explanation necessary. Applications are checked daily, and assigned to a mod who is best able to assess the application, either because of available time or because they know the fandom best. When necessary, the mods will discuss your application before coming to a decision. Please be patient and allow us time to check and discuss. Some apps will be approved almost immediately, while others may take a little longer. It's not because we don't care, but because we may be having trouble finding someone familiar with your canon, or simply that we're unexpectedly busy. If you have any questions about the application process, feel free to contact the moderators directly or ask in the FAQ for clarification. EXPLAINING THE FORM PLAYER INFO Player Name: Preferred Contact Methods: If you would prefer these are kept private, let us know in your application and we will immediately screen your initial comment. Other Characters: CHARACTER INFO Character Name: Include (AU) if applicable. Series: Canon Point: If you are applying for the OU version of your character, please give a quick explanation of what point in canon your character will be coming from. History Link: Please link to a canon source even if your character is an AU! Include a written history only if there isn’t a convenient wiki or other site that gives a good explanation of the canon. AU/OC History: If you are applying for an AU version of the character, or an original character, please give a comprehensive description of what your AU or original universe are about and (in the case of an AU) what the differences are between the canon history and your AU. You should include something about what has happened recently before the character comes to the Lost Realm. Game Import: If your character is being imported from another game, please identify the game and indicate what changes your character will display as a result of development in the game. It’s suggested that you include an overview of major events that have happened to them, and significant CR that they’ve made, but this doesn’t need to be terribly long. Personality: We have no word count requirement on this, but it should be the bulk of your application. Powers: This is mandatory for all characters, but does not need to be extensive. A list or bullet point would be fine. Other Details: Anything else you think we should know. SAMPLES Please give at least one sample of the character you’re playing. These can be musebox or game threads, or can be written fresh for this application. If you are doing a game import, you should include a recent thread from the game. Your application samples should give a representative example of how you’ll be playing the character in this game. We prefer thread links, but will not penalize anyone for providing more standard written samples instead; if we feel we need more material to judge from, we'll ask. Any Concerns: Anything you need to ask us? Let us know! | ||

These (including venom, technically) are all canon powers and, while not required, I thought I’d just spell them out here for simplicity sake. Her powers are very similar to her father’s, though some fall short and others exceed Spider-Man’s abilities.
The proportional speed, strength, and ability of a spider:
May has superhuman speed, strength, and agility. She’s not as strong as her father, capable of lifting up to five tons compared to her father’s ten, but is more agile than he was.
Spider-Sense:
A sixth sense that signals danger to May before is actually happens, and acts as a sort of radar for powered individuals in general. The signal ‘tingles’ at varying intensities depending on the level of the threat, with the lowest being what goes off when another superhuman, with no ill intentions, is in the area. May’s Spider-Sense goes above Peter’s in that each person she knows has a set ‘frequency’ on it, meaning that if she’s met a specific metahuman before she can generally tell if they are what is triggering her sense based on how it feels. She’s also figured out that by focusing on an opponent she can detect which areas of their body trigger the sense harder than others and uses this to discover the weak spots/location of weapons on her opponent. When faced with a very challenging opponent, May learned from Elektra to close her eyes and stop thinking, allowing her spider-sense to completely guide her actions, greatly increasing her reaction time and destroying any kind of predictable pattern of attack she may have had.
Bio-magnetic field:
Like her father, May can cling to surfaces and objects, but, unlike him, this is not the limit of her power. Unlike Spider-Man, May’s ability to do this is from a bio-magnetic field she has around her body, which allows her to make others unwillingly stick to an object/surface when she is clinging to it, as well as allowing her to forcefully repel objects, effectively using them as missiles.
Venom
May is bonded to an alien symbiote which was once worn by her father. May is able to: get the symbiote to change its shape and imitate clothing, fire "webbing" from its fingertips, command the symbiote to make tentacles, envelop her enemies, or create spikes and bludgeons. The symbiote is weak against hi-frequency sound and flame. It also tends to up her violent tendencies when she’s upset, and frequently results in May refering to herself as ‘we’ when in costume.
Other Details: Anything else you think we should know.
SAMPLES
Here is a thread from when May was played at the short-lived game sweven: Link one
I can provide links from her in CnC, but as she’s ten years younger than how I intend to play her, it won’t be the most accurate representation of the current character.
