| RULES AND REGULATIONS Check the taken characters and the reserve page to ensure that your character isn't already taken. We do accept nearly every type of character, including canon, minor, AU, game imports, OCs, fandom OCs, and so forth. There is one canon and one AU version of each character allowed. Especially minor characters may be evaluated as fandom OCs, but are appable under that distinction. Please remove the sections of the application that do not pertain to your character. You can play up to five characters at one time. Two of those characters can be from the same canon. You may bring in two characters per calendar month, discounting rejections. If you wish to apply for a sixth character overall or a third canonmate, contact us individually. App challenge policy is as follows: we will wait the length of the reserve for the original reserver to apply, and judge their application first, independently and not comparatively. Only if they are rejected will the challenger be assessed. Without a reserve, apps will be assessed in the order they are received-- again not against each other, but each one at a time. We would prefer if you do not delete your comments upon rejection or acceptance. Simply ask us and we will screen the entire thread on request for privacy, no explanation necessary. Applications are checked daily, and assigned to a mod who is best able to assess the application, either because of available time or because they know the fandom best. When necessary, the mods will discuss your application before coming to a decision. Please be patient and allow us time to check and discuss. Some apps will be approved almost immediately, while others may take a little longer. It's not because we don't care, but because we may be having trouble finding someone familiar with your canon, or simply that we're unexpectedly busy. AU/OC History: If you are applying for an AU version of the character, or an original character, please give a comprehensive description of what your AU or original universe are about and (in the case of an AU) what the differences are between the canon history and your AU. You should include something about what has happened recently before the character comes to the Lost Realm. CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Signless (The Sufferer)
Series: MSPA: Homestuck
Canon Point: After being captured and bound in burning iron, but before his death and The Vast Expletive.

Personality: While we never see Signless as an active character in the story, most of his personality can be gleaned from his life's story as it was narrated and through the word of the author himself, who said that besides the anger, he shares many key traits with his 'decedent', Karkat.
Like Karkat, his blood is a mutant, cherry red color that doesn't exist on the hemospectrum, which alone was reason enough to be killed on Alternia. It means that he literally didn't have a right to exist, but unlike Karkat, he doesn't hate it. He's proud enough of who he is that he wears it on his clothes, but only a little. Drawing too much attention to himself would be a really bad idea for obvious reasons.
The thing is with Signless, is that he has visions of an Alternia that is peaceful, where trolls help and care for each other rather than cause fear and pain. What he doesn't realize is that they are actually memories seeping through from a previous life that had been erased and rewritten. There are a lot of things in his visions that he doesn't understand, but all he knows is that the world they're living in is so very wrong, and he believes with all his heart that it can be set right.
The most notable thing about Signless is that he is very clearly meant to be a parallel of Jesus, his story following a very similar path. He is full of love for his people, regardless of class or creed. He cares to the point of heresy, though unlike Karkat who tries to hide that part of himself, he fully embraces it, and is very open about it. Where this would be considered a great sign of weakness to most trolls, for him it was his greatest strength.
While he had a wide following, there were very few he kept close to him. "The Dolorosa", who had taken on the unprecedented task of trying to raise the young mutant herself rather than leave it to die. "The Psiionic" is a troll that was so moved by Signless' words that they gave him the strength to escape slavery to follow him. Then there was his "Disciple", who recorded his words faithfully and, over time, he'd opened his heart to her. It's been said that their love transcended every concept the troll's had about love.
Not to say that he's gentle and perfect all the time. He's still a troll and still fallible, subject to the array of negative emotions all trolls have to deal with. He can get upset and frustrated just like everyone else. Hell, even Jesus was known to literally flip tables when he got angry. Signless just has this way of letting it go so it doesn't linger and turn to a poison. And that is exactly what he was trying to teach others about. Society needed to change, and the only way that would happen is if someone made the effort to change it.

He knew full well that he wouldn't survive doing what he was doing, but he was too determined and bullheaded to stop and save himself. He alone wouldn't be able to undo centuries of oppression, but if he could spread his beliefs to enough people than over time things might change.
Judging by the fact that he had been very careful to keep hidden, preaching only to those who seemed receptive off the message, it's more than likely that an all out sectarian war was not even remotely what he was going for. With how Karkat blamed himself for everything that had gone wrong, Signless would be the same way. He carries the suffering of his entire race on his shoulders, so inciting a war -even unintentionally- is something he would never be able to forgive himself for. And like Karkat, he would consider himself a failure of a leader for not being able to control his followers.
Which is likely why, in the final hours of his life, after being beaten and tortured, his boundless love turned to a righteous fury that burned hotter than the irons he was bound with. He spoke of another like him who would come and continue what he started. Despite everything that happened, to him and to his teachings, he never recanted, never gave up. The rage grew and became known as The Vast Expletive, his final sermon, that rang out through the galaxy. Encoded within it was the truth of his teachings, waiting to reveal itself to those would take up it's burden.

Any Concerns: I was wondering what state he would be in when he arrives, since he's coming from mid torture. I didn't see it anywhere
though I often miss things derp. Mainly I was wondering, regardless of how mangled up he is, if the irons could still be on his wrists. I figure since they were heated they probably fuse shut. I just thought it could make interesting CR trying to find someone who can get them off.APPROVED

As for your question, I'd say it's largely up to you, but it seems to make sense that he would be in rough shape when he first arrives. He could be immediately rushed to the hospital for some magical (or mundane, if he goes to the one run by Stein) healing, which will heal his injuries and leave scars. At the hospital I'm sure that the irons could be removed. However, if you'd prefer that he leave the place where he first arrives before the ambulance gets there, that's totally fine, too.
The characters arrive with whatever they have on them, so based on the picture of Signless we saw, he'd have his leggings and maybe his cloak and the irons. Whether or not he has an arrow in his side is up to you XD;
