Applications

Application form:
APPLICATIONS ARE ALWAYS OPEN.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Check the taken characters and the reserve page to ensure that your character isn't already taken.

We do accept nearly every type of character, including canon, minor, AU, game imports, OCs, fandom OCs, and so forth. There is one canon and one AU version of each character allowed. Especially minor characters may be evaluated as fandom OCs, but are appable under that distinction. Please remove the sections of the application that do not pertain to your character.

You can play up to five characters at one time. Two of those characters can be from the same canon. You may bring in two characters per calendar month, discounting rejections. If you wish to apply for a sixth character overall or a third canonmate, contact us individually.

App challenge policy is as follows: we will wait the length of the reserve for the original reserver to apply, and judge their application first, independently and not comparatively. Only if they are rejected will the challenger be assessed. Without a reserve, apps will be assessed in the order they are received-- again not against each other, but each one at a time.

We would prefer if you do not delete your comments upon rejection or acceptance. Simply ask us and we will screen the entire thread on request for privacy, no explanation necessary.

Applications are checked daily, and assigned to a mod who is best able to assess the application, either because of available time or because they know the fandom best. When necessary, the mods will discuss your application before coming to a decision. Please be patient and allow us time to check and discuss. Some apps will be approved almost immediately, while others may take a little longer. It's not because we don't care, but because we may be having trouble finding someone familiar with your canon, or simply that we're unexpectedly busy.

If you have any questions about the application process, feel free to contact the moderators directly or ask in the FAQ for clarification.

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Include (AU) if applicable.
Series:
Canon Point: If you are applying for the OU version of your character, please give a quick explanation of what point in canon your character will be coming from.
History Link: Please link to a canon source even if your character is an AU! Include a written history only if there isn’t a convenient wiki or other site that gives a good explanation of the canon.

AU/OC History: If you are applying for an AU version of the character, or an original character, please give a comprehensive description of what your AU or original universe are about and (in the case of an AU) what the differences are between the canon history and your AU. You should include something about what has happened recently before the character comes to the Lost Realm.

Game Import: If your character is being imported from another game, please identify the game and indicate what changes your character will display as a result of development in the game. It’s suggested that you include an overview of major events that have happened to them, and significant CR that they’ve made, but this doesn’t need to be terribly long.

Personality: We have no word count requirement on this, but it should be the bulk of your application.

Powers: This is mandatory for all characters, but does not need to be extensive. A list or bullet point would be fine.

Other Details: Anything else you think we should know.

SAMPLES
Please give at least one sample of the character you’re playing. These can be musebox or game threads, or can be written fresh for this application. If you are doing a game import, you should include a recent thread from the game. Your application samples should give a representative example of how you’ll be playing the character in this game. We prefer thread links, but will not penalize anyone for providing more standard written samples instead; if we feel we need more material to judge from, we'll ask.

Any Concerns: Anything you need to ask us? Let us know!

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: The Summoner
Series: Homestck (OU)
Canon Point: Post Death - After the fall of the Cavalreaper rebellion
History Link: Link.Homestuck Pages Describing Character: Page 1, Page 2, Page 3

AU/OC History: The Summoner is only briefly mentioned in Homestuck cannon despite the important role he played in the back-story of the main characters. The Ancestor of Tavros Nitram was a renowned man from the lower castes who set up a rebellion against the traditional caste system used in Alternia. Using his advanced powers of telecommunication with animals and his pupation of wings to inspire the troops who had worked below him, he struck fear and admiration in the people. He was a skilled fighter and brave enough to rise in ranks through hard work alone.

It is during this time, that he meets and eventually wins the heart of Marquise Spinnerett Mindfang. A fearsome pirate who had been expecting their relationship for hundreds of years. He had supposedly won her interest due to his ability to communicate with the great dragon Pyralspite. Eventually the two became matesprits, and their partnership would lead to her death by his hands.

The revolution, as grand a scale as Signless’s, was eventually crushed and Summoners life ended. But he had struck a cord with the highbloods and Her Imperious Condescension to such a degree that The Condesce had sent all adult trolls off of the planet . Forever sending them off towards imperial conquest and keeping their minds away from how their own civilization is run. Alternia is forever after a planet run by children. And it is believed that Pupa Pan fairy tale that is told to them is loosely based around the Summoner and his ventures.

Game Import: N/A

Personality: Barely anything is stated on Summoner's canon personality. But much has been induced on the few pages we have seen of him.

Born into a lower common caste, he has spent many of his years under constant subjugation by the higher classes. He had seen much suffering and misery distilled by the caste system incorporated by the Condesce. And yet it seems, that growing up in such an environment has only made him and his feelings against the system stronger where it has placed many others in constant fear.

He is said to have been brave and skilled, and he is more then strong enough due to having survived his way to adulthood with his particular peoples violent lifestyle. It is also believed that through his physical similarity to Rufio and constant reference to the Peter Pan universe that he probably has the mischievousness and playfulness on par to a lostboy if not of Peter Pan himself. He is willing to take in most matters with a little bit of lighthearted sass. That is not to say, though, that he doesn’t understand the serious issues regarding the world around him. He grew to be a highly respected commander and knows well enough how to handle any military situation. Yet, despite being a strong and fully capable leader, he more then anything wishes for a peaceful, friendly and fun Alternia. And he is willing to fight for the peace he wishes to one day see.

He does not seem to fall prey to any form of racism despite his beliefs. His matesprit being a high blueblooded noblewoman and from the very group of people he is fighting against. More so, it seems that he is willing to share his beliefs with any willing to listen and only fight against those who violently attempt to oppose him. But seeing as he is the ancestor of Tavros Nitram, there are also probably times that, when alone, he would show insecurity much like his descendant. It has been proven that he communes openly with Alternian fauna and cares for them just as much as Tavros does. And he probably holds others opinions and feelings in high regard. For one of such notorious legend he is probably extremely atypical of most trolls and their usual behavior. I can personally picture that if he need not resort to violence he won’t. But he will do what he needs to in order to survive and uphold his beliefs, which he is quite stubborn upon.

Powers:FLIGHT- The Summoner is the only Troll in Alternia to have grown wings who is not one of the selected Hivebent trolls. Because of that he has gained much attention from others of his world. They are fully capable of being used and he actually spends a lot of his time flying around.

TELEPATHY- Like his descendant Tavros Nitram, Summoner has the ability to telepathically communicate with wild Alternian Fauna. It is quite powerful and he can communicate with enough animals simultaneously to form an army. But because his telepathy is so strong it makes him highly suseptible to any others who may happen to have psychic powers.

WEAPON- LANCEKIND- Also like his descendant, Summoner is seen carrying around a large lance around as a weapon.

Other Details: Because Summoner is a character that is so lightly touched upon I was made to form lots of headcannon in regards to his past story and personality.

I have it so that Summoner knows of Signless and his plight through the various legends that were passed down and told to him by people of his caste in secrecy. Though because such legends were legally banned by the Condesce they are unclear and often skewed and exaggerated. Summoner grew up a firm admirer of Signlesses legends, and has with these stories, been raised with the concept of a someday peaceful and non-segregated Alternia. So much so that while many trolls stuck to wearing their blood colors, Summoner wore a dual color scheme of brown and candy-red. The color of his idol.

He was like Tavros upon growing up. Much more reserved and less violent then most Trolls usually are. He was also physically much weaker then most, his bones light and oddly delicate. Because of such he was often teased and aggressed upon throughout many of his wiggler years. Unlike Tavros, however, he had developed such hardships rather easily into vices and learned to keep a strong outwards appearance against those who attempted to bring him down. It is because of this that he was able to survive into adulthood and join the ranks of the cavalreapers.

His softer personality though had taken many off guard, and while it had been difficult adjusting to military life at first he had eventually gained the trust of many others in his position. In fact, his rebellion may not have started at all if not for the aid of the men and women who have supported him along the way. It had further boosted his confidence. And when the time came that he was forced to stand up for his beliefs (Probably upon seeing someone close to him fall prey to the highbloods abuse) he did so happily. And he had gained enough support that it had turned into an uprising, and from that, a full fledged rebellion.

His wings were a fluke. Something he expected to happen just as much as all those around him would. Which is to say, not at all. A genetic anomaly that had long since been forgotten and that he just so happened to gain. And seeing as his pupation happened at an opportune enough moment (when many others were able to witness it) rumor spread and further support grew. During his time in the rebellion he had come to meet Marquise Spinerett Mindfang. And although their relationship was questionable at first (she being a snarky highblood pirate who for some reason knew too much, and he a leader to an underground lowblood army), they had eventually developed into matespritship.

As much as they had come to care for one another though, Mindfang had known that their time together was limited. And not due to Summoners own naturally shorter lifespan. Time would come where their lifestyles would clash and it was with his own lance that would end Mindfangs life. It would be something that, in the end, would play a major impact on Summoner, someone who relies so heavily on his emotions.

He would lead beasts and men alike into the final battle on the Condense herself. And he would fail. But not without leaving a devastating impact on the Condense. One strong enough to have her remove all adult trolls from their home planet for good. And one that would place him down in legends, just like the Signless he had come to admire.

Thank you for the Test Drive Meme!
Also have a Summoner meeting his hero without even knowing it.

Any Concerns: It’s my first time playing an ancestor and I’m still a little clunky. I guess I’m so used to playing characters with such strict guidelines. So if there’s anything you think needs to be fixed or worked upon further just let me know and I’ll be happy to fix it!

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Kanaya Maryam
Series: Homestuck
Canon Point: Act 6 Act 3; directly after the large dream bubble meeting.
History Link: Link.

Personality:If we were to label each Homestuck troll with a stereotype, Kanaya would be the Token Goth. Where other trolls stay up at night, she can withstand --and actually enjoys-- being in the harsh Alternian sun. She's fascinated with the morbid and the macabre, in particular with tales of rainbow drinkers; the troll version of vampires. This is such a powerful obsession for Kanaya that one of her actions after the death of her beloved lusus is to try a taste of the monster's blood. That isn't to say she has a dark and gritty personality, though. Despite these dark interests, she also has some very bright ones to match-- which most trolls also happen to not have. She has an upbeat sense of humor, often having silly, meaningless conversations with her friends, is generally polite, and has a range of unusually pleasant hobbies. She loves flowers and gardening for example, and is a fan of fashion. Where most trolls live in dark hives, Kanaya was raised in the middle of nowhere, her own home bright and colorful. Had her world not been doomed to destruction, she probably would have been content to live out her entire life that way.

But Kanaya knew for quite a while that her world and her race were doomed, being one of the few trolls who's dream self had been awake for some time and seeing glimpses of the future. On top of that, she came across Rose's unfinished game guide, not realizing that it was written by someone who's universe she herself would help to create. It was just another little thing Kanaya became fixated with. In fact, getting fixated with things is something Kanaya seems to have a knack for. She's commonly referred to as a meddler and a fussyfangs by her moirail, Vriska -- at the very least -- and has a reputation for being the "village twwo wwheel device" when it comes to mediating in others' relationships. Kanaya just can't keep her nose out of her friends' problems, and tries to help whenever possible. Because of her mature and level-headed nature, and her abundance of patience, she's rather good at it.

Yet when it comes to feelings, she has plenty of her own to deal with. Kanaya tends to find herself romantically interested in girls who are either blind to or unable to return her feelings. She will try to deny even having those kinds of feelings to begin with, even if they're obvious to everyone around her. This attitude of denial and passiveness leads her to getting her heart broken at least once, which allows us to see another side of her; the stubborn side that isn't able to easily let go of a grudge. Once crossed, she's prone to stay that way for some time, usually trying to avoid and ignore the object of her ire. But that's not to say she shies away from violence. She's actually quite capable of committing it without hesitation if it seems like a fitting response for the situation. She doesn't appear to feel guilty or insecure about these choices, either. When her lusus dies, she has a moment of mourning and then cuts the creature open to keep her promise to it without a hint of disgust. She also never seemed particularly bothered about the fate of most of her race, and so far has not expressed a hint of remorse for killing Eridan (he killed her first!). And after an entire year, she still holds a grudge against Gamzee, wishing to do more than give him an epic kick to the crotch. She also doesn't blink when faced with the task of sawing a friend in half, nor does she seem to mind stealing blood from friends, both alive and dead, after coming back to life as a rainbow drinker.

It takes quite a lot for Kanaya to get to a point where she openly shows her anger or sadness, though. Most of the time she's calm, collected, articulate, displays a silly and dorky sense of humor about things, and gives the impression that she's just a tad classy. The kind of friend in the group who tends to be a little on the weird, silly side, but who you go to when you want the most logical advice.

Other Details: Blood is delicious!

Character Name: Monkey D. Luffy
Series: One Piece
Canon Point: Right after his fight with Don Krieg (End of chapter 66)
History Link: HERE!.

AU/OC History: N/A

Game Import: N/A

Personality:

To anyone who meets him Luffy will probably come off as an impulsive, happy-go-lucky idiot with naïve dreams of becoming the next Pirate King. However, once most people get to know him… not that much of that changes. But while he might be incredibly simple at first-- sometimes perhaps even an idiot-- this is only true to an extent. Luffy isn’t so much “dumb” as he is someone who lacks a lot of basic knowledge that most people would know from school or being around fellow towns people. While Luffy spent the first six years or so of his life around regular people in Foosha Village. The rest was spent mostly in the forest, around his brothers, and mountain bandits. All of this was great for his ability to be able to survive in the forest, or against wild animals, but it did very little for his thinking skills. While he was fighting bears he wasn’t doing much strategy wise. Instead, he focused entirely on instinct and reflexes. Even his Granddad, Monkey D. Garp, would put him through harsh training such as throwing him down bottomless pits, in dark forests, etc.

This didn’t do much for him as far as thinking goes, but it did give him a near unbreakable will. After surviving everything he’s been through new challenges come as nothing more than a new obstacle he has to conquer rather than a life-threatening experience. He’s been through so many of those that he has developed this confidence in himself that he believes he won’t die from what’s thrown at him and he can muscle his way out alive. Not to say he doesn’t know the risk. He knows it’s a possibility he will die each time, but he’s just stared death in the face so many times that trying to conquer it comes much more natural to him than most people. Zeff even comments on his fearlessness during his battle with Don Krieg. During said battle he punched his exploding spear six times to break it. He also wasn’t afraid to punch into the spiked sheet that Don Krieg put around himself.

Now, while admittedly (even admitted by Luffy himself) thinking isn’t his strong suit, it should be noted that he does think. And can actually be surprisingly perceptive when he needs to be. He has even been known to be serious and offer words one might not expect from him in certain circumstances. When Usopp asks if Luffy and the others were pitying him when they said they would help protect his island against pirates Luffy looks at him seriously and says “Who would risk their lives out of pity?” While Luffy’s ability to think sometimes might seem idiotic, there is usually some logic behind it. Like during the end of the Buggy arc. Luffy tells the villagers that they’re pirates and that they knocked out their mayor right away because it was the truth. While this might have seemed like a very dumb thing to do, later when they’re running he tells Nami that they’re good people. And that they would’ve attacked them no matter what because they care about their mayor. This also shows his high perception of people in some situations.

Now, all that being said about the positive sides of his thinking, now we’ll get to the negative: in short Luffy is simple. He thinks in a simple way about things since he knows he won’t understand anything past a certain level. So his outlook stays simple and sometimes tunnel visioned. He’s a guy whose spent most of his life fighting animals and hanging out with bandits. He really doesn’t need to be the one to think anyway. But sometimes his line of thinking is overly simple to a fault. Like the fact that he’s spent ten years or so training to become a pirate—and has the muscle to prove it—but no real knowledge of simple stuff he should know if he wants to travel out at sea. This is another one of Luffy’s problems; not thinking things through all the way. He spent all that time getting stronger, but Nami is actually surprised that neither he nor Usopp knew anything about scurvy. This was a bad way to go about his pirate journey since at first he started out alone, and because of that he wouldn’t know the right foods to eat to prevent himself from getting sick. Knowledge that could possibly save his life.

But still Luffy is an overall great guy. He’s usually happy and fun to be around. He’s also very trusting of new allies which, of course can be a fault with the wrong people (Nami took advantage of this). But surprisingly this works out well for him as the moment he makes a friend he’s willing to go through extreme lengths to protect them or the people they care about. In a lot of ways it’s a great way to earn friends and loyalty. He has even been shown to give his trust to otherwise shady characters that most people wouldn’t fool with. The guy very rarely care about the person’s past as long as he himself deems them as a good person (He didn’t care to hear about Nami’s past, and Zoro was a pirate hunter before he joined his crew). And despite being a pirate he’s most of the time fair and at times even responsible. After accidentally firing a canon ball into the Baratie, Zeff orders him to work there to pay off his debt and he agrees without hesitation. Even if they have a hard time coming to terms with exactly how long he would work there. In addition he was willing to fight Mohji and his giant lion, Richie, just because they burned down Chouchou’s owner’s pet food store. He returns to him a bag of pet food which was all that was left of the store.

That isn’t to say everything about Luffy is swell and amazing. There are some parts of him that may come off as him being a jerk or even cruel in some cases. When Kuro asks him why he’s getting involved with something that isn’t even his business he replies with “There’s someone on this island I don’t want you do kill.” Which implies he really only cared about saving Usopp out of everyone. On top of that, he knocks out Boddle the mayor just to keep him out the way, tells Kuro’s men that he will kill them just because they laughed at Usopp. And in a SBS it’s actually revealed the reason he doesn’t kill villains is not because he doesn’t want to, or can’t bring himself to do it. It’s actually because in the One Piece world, watching your dreams destroyed is a fate worse than death. And that is why he lets them live. Not that he ever seems to really hold back. His enemies are most of the time just strong enough to endure his onslaught and only get knocked out by his finisher. In a more light-hearted example, he puts a bugger in Zoro’s water because they were eating out while he was “slaving” as a chore boy.

When it comes to piracy he constantly claims to know what a pirate is and etcetera when really he has only been out at sea for a month or so probably. Often times he is seen telling his enemies that he would never lose to a “pirate like them” when really he probably hasn’t even met that many pirates outside of Shanks’ crew. This is probably because compared to a lot of more simple pirates that likely plague the East Blue sea, Shanks— a powerful yonko—and his crew seems leagues above everyone else. And his crew is how he rates more pirates since he compares them to those guys. He has this strange perception when it comes to most things that have to do with pirates. Despite not actually have been a pirate himself for that long, he knows what it means to be a pirate and the dangers that are involved with it. When Buggy and his crew tell Nami to kill him with one of his Buggy balls she gets nervous. And Luffy explains to her that she shouldn’t have gone against pirates unprepared. If you want to go against pirates you have to be willing to risk your own life. This shows a level of maturity he has gained over the years, as before he thought he could become a pirate by proving he was really tough. And that’s how he got the scar under his eye. From stabbing himself there to prove he was tough to Shanks and his crew.

And lastly, there is Luffy’s hat. While it might looks like an ordinary straw hat to most people, this is Luffy’s most prized possession. Because it was the last (and perhaps even only) gift he got from Shanks before his departure. It also signifies the promise he made to him. Despite coming well known as “Straw Hat” to a lot of people, the hat isn’t actually his own. It’s Shanks’. And he wants to return it back to him one day when he has finally become a great pirate in his own right. Whether that day will be after he obtains One Piece itself, or later in the series when he has sailed many seas has yet to be seen.

Powers:
Luffy’s most obvious power right off the bat is his rubber abilities! After eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi fruit, Luffy’s entire body became made of rubber. This gives him the ability to stretch himself to extreme lengths, and become immune to any physical damage that isn’t Haki imbued since the rubber absorbs the impact.

In the One Piece world it is possible to gain things like super strength or extreme speed with enough training. And Luffy shows mostly the former of the two but a bit of the latter. Strength wise he’s incredibly strong, able to lift a giant lion over his shoulder and slam him into the ground with enough force to KO him. Speed wise he probably can’t match up to Sanji, but he’s still much faster than any normal human being. Usopp—a person who used to run through his village everyday and was able to outrun a fishman—couldn’t even keep up with him.

Series: Homestuck
Canon Point: I'M D------EAD!
History Link: Link.

AU/OC History: n/a

Game Import: n/a

Personality: Feferi has an incredibly effervescent, bright personality. There's a genuine level of care in her for everyone (and thing) around her, though those levels fluctuate with any given number of factors, including who or what it is, as well as her particular mood at the moment. She can swing from doing her best to be informative and helpful to being, quite frankly, a condescending bitch on a whim.

She has a tendency to take on a lot of responsibility, whether she actually wants to or not. Some of it comes from her position as the heiress apparent to being the next Empress of Alternia (assuming she can wrest the position from the Condesce, though she currently has no actual designs on the throne). The rest of it comes from the whisperings of her lusus, her troll care-taker, Gl'bgolyb. With the whisperings that her lusus bestows upon her, Feferi is lead to believe that she will be the troll to unite the two races, automatically assuming it's meant that she will bring both land and sea dwelling trolls together.

It's easy for her to believe this. Feferi maintains a very firm position that the colorful array of troll blood, the hemospectrum, means nothing. Just because she was born into the highest caste of troll society (and, indeed, is the only troll with her color of blood aside from the Condesce herself), that doesn't mean she's actually better than those born into the lowest castes. In fact, she even seems to come to develop positive romantic feelings for Sollux, who belongs on the low end of the hemospectrum, if the <3 she uses in conversation with him in Aradia: Return to the Core is any sort of indication.

Once given an opening, Feferi will slide out of the responsibility she's taken on to her shoulders, and will focus on herself instead. Though she had spent ages being Eridan's calming moirail, once the game begins and they're all free to focus on their own tasks, she immediately dumps him in order to pay attention to Sollux. He's too much for her to take care of, and she never really wanted to be his moirail in the first place. She's not exactly gentle about it, either, and has very little care for his feelings on the matter.

Feferi is pretty excitable, which lends itself to her outward appearance of being a bubbly type of girl. Things that make others nervous and unsure she has a tendency to embrace and look for the silver lining. Even the terrorbeasts that so unnerve all of the kids and other trolls who meet them so badly, Feferi finds them to be "not so bad", perhaps because she's so used to the whispers of her lusus.

Given her propensity toward curiosity, Feferi will likely find herself sliding into friendships (or hateships, or any other kind of ships) with the other heroes brought to the land. Finding humans kind of fun (especially to tease), she'll be more open to relations to them than others of her kind would. She might not work terribly hard to climb the echeladder caste chain, however, at least not at first. Feferi did grow up in a rather plush environment, and despite her insistence that she's no better than anyone else, she'll probably find the lower end caste living arrangements to be less than acceptable, at which point she will actively seek out and find contact in order to raise herself through the system.

Powers: As the Witch of Life, Feferi has the access to healing abilities. Though only an alternate, God-tier version of herself has been shown using them, she's capable of healing very serious wounds on others.

History Link: CTRL + F for Lancer to see his traits in comparison to Fate/Stay Night Lancer, This is his main wiki, This is the wiki of Fate/Stay Night Lancer who has the same attributes and same basic personality as Prototype Lancer, since Prototype Lancer is the 'first' version of FSN Lancer.

AU/OC History: Fate/Prototype is considered to be an AU of Fate/Stay Night formally, since the creator has no plans to make this series into its own show. Lancer in Fate/Prototype is essentially the same as Lancer in Fate/Stay Night except for his appearance and age, the latter serving to alter his personality a little bit from his updated self. Lancer in Fate/Prototype has the same general personality and has the same exact 'past', since both Lancer from FSN and Prototype have the same identity as the Irish hero of myth, Cu Chulainn. It's said that Lancer in Prototype is younger, more brash and is a bit more naive about the evils of the world because of that gap in age with his alternate self in Fate/Stay Night. He's still poorly motivated because of the nature of his master, but he still seems to have respect for her because she acts somewhat like his old teacher in his life, Scathach. Otherwise, his history is the same as Cu Chulainn's in Fate/Stay Night, so there is no disparaging his personality between that change-up.

In Fate/Prototype, it's also apparent that Lancer had fought in the previous Holy Grail War since he knew about Saber's previous master--though, it's clear that he and Saber didn't manage to get a match in that time before. Lancer's excitement about fighting powerful opponents has not changed whatsoever in comparison to his FSN counterpart.

His canon point will be shortly after Misaya summons him, but before she decides to seal his Noble Phantasm.

Game Import: N/A

Personality: Lancer is, essentially, a ruffian. At his current age(early 20s), he's immature and has a tendency to brush off the criticisms of others. While he's also somewhat optimistic, this is one of his worse points, as he's remarkedly known for having horrendous luck in his life. Though, Lancer doesn't seem to care about his bad luck. He's the sort of person who lives without regrets even though his life honestly stinks. Lancer's Fate/Stay Night counterpart is considered the 'older' Cu Chulainn, who understands the trauma of the world and knows what to expect in life, though the two of them aren't considered different. Lancer in Prototype simply hasn't lived out the war from the Tain Bo Cualigne and doesn't know much about his own true death. In Hollow/Ataraxia, a follow-up to Fate/Stay Night, Lancer is given a chance to talk about his own story and he manages to elaborate on a lot of traumatic parts of his life casually, brushing by them while making lapsing comments like 'That's how it goes'. He speaks in passing about his son who he was ordered to kill by his king casually, knowing he had no means of changing how things went.

Though, just because Lancer is honorable and loyal to his lord doesn't mean he's the type of person to bow simply. To Misaya, his master in Prototype, Lancer complains often and says 'What a pain', because he doesn't like being criticized by her, especially not after she seals his primary weapon to make things 'fair'. While he disagrees with her policies though, Lancer revels in the idea of a challenge and abides by it. When Saber makes comments about Lancer's master being an unlucky draw for him, Lancer brushes it off callously and comments that Saber had it worse. He's not the type to revel in his unlucky streaks or in his losses, instead acting surprisingly optimistic all things aside.

All his arrogant points aside, Lancer does act honorably. He hates running away from fights, he fights at handicaps readily and even offers kind words to his enemies. He's reputed as a man that no one could truly hate--as he acts courteously towards even his worst foes. He's also reportedly a womanizer in his legend, in that he seduces and is seduced by a number of women in the course of his story. He does eventually get married, but as Irish heroes go, the bonds of matrimony are rarely ever an indicator of chastity.

Powers: Lancer has:
Super Strength
Super Speed
Superhuman Endurance/Durability
Inhuman Dexterity
The ability to use the Norse runes to use basic magic
The ability to 'phase through' matter by turning into a spiritual body
Resistance to Magic/Supernatural forces
Gae Bolg (His Noble Phantasm, which reverses 'fate' to force the outcome of 'This Spear Will Penetrate The Enemy's Heart'.)

Other Details: Lancer will need a Master(power source) to survive. This is mostly my concern, should I be accepted into the game.

The maddening lack of feeling in his limbs was atrocious. The woman he loved stood over him with a morose expression, smiling sadly. There was grief in her expression, echoing the chorus that she was going to die in the morning. Scathach regarded Lancer with that grief, convinced that he would understand. No, she would not completely die, but her loss would amount to the same. She would be left immortal in her own lands, defeated and left as a testament that monsters didn't deserve their own territory. The woman who spat on the gods would earn her proper punishment at the hands of her own kin and to him, that was a sickening fate to be left to. Cu Chulainn pulled at his arms, but they did nothing for him. She let that smile dwindle before she knelt over him, pinching his nose.

"Don't give me such a haughty look. Even if all you can move is your eyes, I know how angry you are," She murmured to him, her demonic spear held over her shoulder. Scathach smacked the boy's cheek and stood back up, tossing a look over her shoulder as she turned to leave him. "You'll hurt yourself badly if you try to move with that potion coursing through your body right now. The pain would be the same as if you were killing yourself. So, do yourself a favor and let me fight without holding that grudge."

He wanted to spit on her for that. Scathach had always made him feel weak and inconsequential, but he could tell she was already assuming the role of the monster who needed to be felled. When she left him, he relaxed and strained. His limbs eventually ceased feeling dead and he could move his fingers. What felt like an hour crept by, but Cu Chulainn could feel the potion wearing off, "That damned woman..."

He felt his limbs solidify and he took steps, dragging himself up. He couldn't bother grabbing his armor. The least he could do was grab the first sword and spear in front of him before stumbling out the door. He didn't want to be a man who would let a woman he loved fall down into shame and misery because it was just 'fate'. The world wasn't so cruel as to demand such a thing of someone who had lost their might over snide comments. The Hound of Culann, renowned for his endless pride, dragged his feet along the battlegrounds until he reached the square. Two sister set to fight faced each other on a bridge over the country's greatest gorge. There was no audience to speak of--as the two were too terrifying to stay close to.

The arrogant Hound saw the smile on his teacher's face and scowled. She wasn't even remotely distressed, as if she were resigned to that outcome. So, he rushed in, intercepting the swing from her sister. Aife regarded him with a scowl and Scathach fell aside, crumbled from the volley of swings that she could not handle. This woman, his teacher's sister, wanted to shame her in a show of dominance. So, he clashed with her and snarled his frustration.

"Scathach! I don't want this small-teated waif to take over your grounds--so, I'll be disposing of her, myself!"

She couldn't say whether she was proud or not, but when he turned to look at her, it must have been the happiest the arrogant hound had ever seen his Master look since he met her.

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Rei Ayanami
Series: Evangelion [anime canon]
Canon Point: The beginning of End of Evangelion just before the Seele invasion of NERV HQ.
History Link: Link.

Personality:
In the beginning of the series we see Rei as a quiet and stoic girl who has issues processing her emotions and is often unsure how to react properly when interacting with other people. This is seen in in the fact that she is completely unfazed when Shinji sees her naked and that she speaks to others in a straightforward manner that omits all unnecessary niceties and idle conversation. Outside of her work with NERV she seems to keeps to herself, even in class, while the only person she has constant contact with is Gendou Ikari, the head of NERV and the man who created Rei in the first place. It is also worth nothing that Gendou is the only person Rei shows positive emotions towards near the beginning of the series, smiling when he talked to her and saving a pair of glasses he broke rescuing her from an incident in which Eva unit zero went berserk as a keepsake.

For quite sometime Rei also lacks a powerful sense of self, instead living almost entirely for the sake of her role as a tool of NERV and even going as far to say that she could be replaced at any time, a fact that becomes quite literal with the discovery of the dozens of Rei clones hidden under NERV HQ. Rei's lack of self-worth and self preservation, seen in partly in her willingness to sacrifice herself during the 16th angels attacks, is likely due to her being one in a series of identical clones with whom she shares a collective memory, as seen in the fact that Rei III, the clone sent to NERV following Rei II's prior mentioned sacrifice, retains all of her predecessors memories but cannot process them due to the fact that she had not experienced the events personally.

As the series wears on Rei slowly begins to gain a greater sense of self. Early signs of this include her blushing when Shinji showed her kindness and her defense of Eva unit 01 during the battle with the angel Ramial. In turn it is Shinji who has the biggest effect on Rei as the series wears on, often being he is the kindest person to her in all of NERV even going as far as to pry from the burning wreakage of Eva 0 in the aftermath of the Ramial fight, an action mirroring his fathers efforts following Eva 0 going berserk. Though she remains quiet and collected, by the end of the series Rei seems to have progressed greatly in terms of her emotional growth, being able to reflect on her the nature of her own being, as seen in the conversation between Rei and her “sisters” during the last two episodes of the series and Rei 3 monologue concerning her own existence following Rei 2's death.

The summation of all this growth can be seen in both the series TV finale and End of Evangleion. In the tv ending Rei's “sisters”, representing her former self as Rei 1 and 2, bring up the fact that there were many Reis making her current existence interchangeable with any of them, she comments that she is in fact a unique being due to her interactions with others that helped define her as a person different from any of the former Rei's or even the woman, Yui Ikari, whom she was originally cloned from. In end of EVA in the final moments before Gendou's plan to begin Human Instrumentality would begin, which involved fusing Rei -who was made in part from cells taken from the angel Lilith- with Adam -another angel and progenitor of life on Earth- she instead betrays Gendou and puts humanity's future in the hands of Shinji, likely because he is the one who was kindest to her.

Powers:
Despite her alien origin, Rei is a fairly normal girl. Her biggest talent lies in her ability to pilot Eva unit 0. She also possess the power to merge with Lilith and Adam, thus becoming a god-like being, but I seriously doubt that will happen in game unless made part of a rather specific plot.

Other Details:
This app covers both Rei 2 and Rei 3, since the two share identical memories, though, for the purpose of including End of Evangelion and the last few episodes of the TV series in her canon, the actual character in-game would be Rei 3.

Character Name: Nia Teppelin
Series: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Canon Point: in the time after the fall of Teppelin, in which Nia travels the world
History Link: Link.

Personality: Nia is a sweet young woman with a strange view on life, in part for the unusual upbringing she had as an artificial being raised under the protection of the Spiral King. Originally her existence seemed to be little more than a simple plaything for the Spiral King. Raised in incredible isolation, she entered the outside world as a complete innocent when she finally reached self-awareness at the age of fourteen-–so sheltered that it was believed that the act of asking why she was born that led to him discarding her. She didn’t even understand what other ‘humans’ really were, marveling at them.

Though she has been exposed to the outside world for a little while now, she is still a very distinctly unusual young lady. Figures of speech trip her up, and she has a literalism streak a mile wide. Her primary goals in peaceful circumstances tend to revolve around learning more about the world around her. "What is..." is the lead of many questions from her. She absorbs things from other people, traits and phrases, and even the generalities of her goals are adapted from what she learns from others.

Her kind nature has a startling depth to it. She wants nothing more than for other people to be happy, and is never intentionally mean to anyone. She tries to go out of her way to comfort others, and is a very giving girl. She is often naïve and trusts people at their words, always eager to learn and to bond with other people. But even so, she has a backbone made of steel. Without a thought as to her own health and wellbeing, she’s shown just how willing she is to throw herself in the path of danger for the sake of others. In her eyes, ideals are just as important as actions and intent carries a lot more weight than most things.

She may have grown up in the way considered proper for a princess, almost like a doll, but her politeness does not mean that she is someone that can be run roughshod over. She’ll stand up for herself and others, firm in her belief that everything will ultimately work out in the end as long as there are people ready to carry on. Her strength of will is incredible, and she's willing to face the most dangerous odds for the sake of doing what is right.

Powers: Nia is an artificial being created by the Anti-Spiral race, but all of the abilities given to her by that are null and void. In short, her only power available to her is her strength of will and horrible cooking skills the likes of which only someone without tastebuds and an iron-clad intestinal tract could enjoy.

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Azuka Kasim
Series: Xenosaga
Canon Point: After Episode I.
History Link: N/A

AU/OC History:
In the Xenosaga games - a space opera science fiction type story - one of the main characters is MOMO (Multiple Observative Mimetic Organicus), who is an artificial humanoid called a Realian. She was made in the image of the late Sakura Mizrahi by her father and creator, Joachim Mizrahi. Obviously, although MOMO herself is the prototype for the 100-series Observational Realians, MOMO wasn't the very first Realian to created in the case of creating a malfunctioning replica of his late daughter. Thus, the series before MOMO and the 100-series were the 99 series Realian, the Kirschwassers.

During the events of Xenosaga Episode I, the character Albedo killed off a number of the Kirschwassers, which were retired after the Miltian Conflict in favor of further production of the 100-series - several of them followed Albedo and stayed with him, in spite of his descent into madness after making contact with U-DO.

Azuka counts as two of the unaccounted Kirschwassers.

Prototype numbers 85 and 78 were stolen from the lab by one of Dr. Mizrahi's former assistants, Kisarigi Kasim, and Kisarigi's mentor/lover Professor Mia Harwer. Given that at that point Joachim Mizrahi was rapidly working towards building his "masterpiece", MOMO, he wasn't too concerned with missing prototypes. Given that the 99 series Realians took strides in making artificial humanoids even more humanlike, they were fairly cutting-edge. Dr. Mizrahi's ultimate goal was making MOMO to enable Sakura Mizrahi to interface with reality (long story, but I won't go into details as it doesn't really affect Azuka's story).

Professor Harwer's goal was to perform tests on these two "sister" Realians and create her own line of specialized Realians as a basis for military-grade humanoids utilizing nanotechnology. The idea was to minimize the reliance on projectile weaponry and ammunition by improving the hand-to-hand combat performance of military units, which could also be used for construction and other hard methods of labor. In order to do this, Dr. Kasim and Professor Harwer did extensive research into the nanotechnology involved to create self-replicating nanomachines which would harden, soften, and change shape in real time.

Azuka was deemed a success, but her elder sister, Unit 78, was not. When Unit 78 was having modifications performed on her by Professor Harwer, there was an explosion - the result was that professor Harwer died, and Unit 78 was lost. In actuality, what had happened was that testing along with Unit 85, Unit 78 lost her connection between reality and the Imaginary Realm (the space which is occupied by the U.M.N.), barely holding onto her sister unit's connection. Professor Harwer's DNA was also spliced onto Unit 85 for testing purposes earlier (did I mention that Professor Harwer was a bit narcissistic?), and now started to take effect as Unit 85's physical appearance began to change to the effect of no longer resembling the late Sakura Mizrahi.

As a result, Dr. Kasim shut down all experimentation and took Unit 85 away to live a normal life in the Kukai Foundation, adopting Unit 85 as his "daughter", christening her as Azuka Kasim. Given Azuka's physical alterations and mutations due to the accident, she was never scanned in as a Realian and lacks the tell-tale golden eyes that identify all artificial humanoids. This was shortly after the Miltian Conflict and after the Kukai Foundation had been established. Dr. Kasim worked as a medical doctor in the Foundation, while Azuka kept a low profile.

In addition to being Dr. Kasim's assistant, Azuka was also a waitress at a restaurant as well as a bar lounge singer. It was then that she met Hatsuyuki Mitsuda, a piano player. After a love story that rivals the confines of time and space itself, Azuka found herself falling in love with Hatsuyuki. But of course, what is a love story without conflict? Shigure Kajiura, another scientist who was another assistant to Dr. Mizrahi, found out about Kisarigi Kasim's past and was quite adamant that he was hiding something - he was awfully close to finding out the truth behind Azuka, and to him, Azuka was even more amazing that MOMO.

A little before the events of Episode I, a side effect of Azuka's being came to light - along with the auto-replication of the nanomachinery within her body also came degradation. This manifests itself through Azuka by aging, around the same rate of a human's natural lifespan. This basically put the nail in the coffin as far as research went for Dr. Kasim - he'd never do anything like what he did before, as Azuka's life expectancy was more or less equal to his now.

It was during the confusion of the Gnosis attack on the Foundation that Shigure attempted to kidnap Azuka, using his own custom-made Grandleon Realian prototypes. Basically, they were incomplete nanomachine-based feral creatures which featured severe degredation - after Azuka defeated them, their remains disintegrated, leaving no trace evidence behind. Unfortunately, this just made Shigure all the more determined, kidnapping Hatsuyuki so that Azuka would come to him. During this event, Azuka was able to use her combat capabilities to their fullest for the first time. While she wasn't equipped with the Hilbert Effect (a special wave that pulls Gnosis out of the Imaginary Realm and into reality, so they may be combatted on relatively equal footing), Azuka held her own in battle - aside from her physical abilities, the link she shares with her sister, Unit 78 (which she named Symphorosa, or Rosa for short) also allowed her to cast offensive ethers ("spells" which draw energies from the Imaginary Realm to manipulate reality - in Azuka's case, attack magic).

When all was said and done, Azuka killed Shigure, but it was of little comfort - Hatsuyuki was held captive in a place where a Gnosis found him and killed him. Hatsuyuki died in Azuka's arms, making Azuka promise to live for the both of them - he never found out the truth about her. To Hatsuyuki, Azuka wasn't some trophy or ideal, she was simply herself, and not a replacement.

Game Import: N/A

Personality:
Given that Azuka is a Kirschwasser, it's a given that one of her traits is jealousy of MOMO, who was practically Joachim Mizrahi's Magnum Opus. Most to all Kirschwassers held a sort of jealous trait within them given that they were, for the most part, treated as disposable objects - in the Xenosaga universe, Realians are basically second-class citizens, created to do the work that humans didn't want to do. The Kirschwassers' situation was made all the worst, being created to be disposed of, as none of them were MOMO.

Though the trope of a weaponized robot in the shape of a woman finding love isn't anything new (I'm sure you're thinking of at least three right now), Azuka defies the stereotype in a rather specific way - she never had issues with expressing emotion. To Azuka, it wasn't just about love, it was about humanity and the right to exist as her own person. To Kisarigi, she knew that whenever he looked at her that he saw Mia Harwer. To Shigure, she looked like a gateway to Dr. Mizrahi's greatest work. This all changed when she forged a bond with Hatsuyuki, because to him she was simply Azuka, and she was irreplacable as herself. Azuka's journey wasn't about finding emotion, it was about finding the value in herself.

Even with that, Azuka isn't exactly a bucket of angst. As a prototype for the Observation Realian, Azuka has a preprogrammed knack for reading people and seeing what makes them tick, and being able to react somewhat appropriately. She did rather well as a waitress, being able to tell what her customers wanted and building rapport with them. Overall she tends to do very well with people, knowing when it's appropriate to joke and such - she also has set boundaries, and has little issue with telling someone off if they're just plain rude or crazy. This is mostly due to her survival and self-preservation instincts - when provoked, Azuka's not nearly the frail woman she appears to be.

Outwardly, Azuka is fairly typical - she comes off as a silent beauty with a mysterious air about her, exuding an air of elegance. When she does open her mouth, typically she comes off as well-spoken and learned, wording her speech very carefully - she tends to speak formally, and while she understands slang terms, she doesn't really use it unless quoting what someone else has said. While cheerful isn't the first word an acquaintance would use when describing her, a smile isn't an entirely uncommon sight.

Underneath that, however, lies a fairly stubborn will - Azuka has a clearly defined sense of right and wrong, and while she's not so stubborn to be unwilling to admit there are grays and other viewpoints, she tends to be rather impulsive. Her programming basically allows her to analyze and situation and react accordingly in a quick manner without double-checking, due to her combat structure - she is prone to not mince words when disagreeing with someone. Her words then tend to be curt - she realizes that people do not disagree to share information, they disagree to force their own perspective onto someone else, so she does not attempt to facilitate that.

When someone isn't perceived as a threat, Azuka also shows the basics of a sense of humor. While not sardonic or hurtful, her sense of humor tend to go to the lighter side of things to lighten the mood. She has no issue with laughing at other peoples' jokes, and often you'll find Azuka trying to tell a joke (maybe poorly) during a serious or down moment as more of a reminder that maybe, just maybe, there are better things that could be concentrated on.

Unfortunately, Azuka doesn't display much creative talent outside of singing - while she can, say, do a near-photorealistic sketch of someone she remembers, she can't exactly paint something like Monet. When cooking, she tends to be very strictly by-the-book and follow recipes exactly, or find suitable replacements. This is due to her programming, where she knows what the end result is supposed to be, but she tends to not want to leave much, if any, room for potential error. So if she's missing salt, she's not going to even consider using sugar as a substitute - this often also spills over into other areas of her life, making her sometimes inflexible. With time she got better with this - if someone she trusts says things are going to be all right, she'll do whatever she can within her power to make it so with what she has on hand.

Finally, Azuka displays amazing information retention and analyzation skills, and is able to apply them with fair ease. Basically, she has pattern recognition (gee, that monster isn't reacting much to electricity. Maybe I shouldn't keep using electric attacks on it). This also factors into straight intelligence in the idea that she has a vast amount of knowledge stored away in her mind, or if she doesn't currently have that information, she can research it and retain that data.

Powers:
As stated before, Azuka is an artificial humanoid, a Realian. This is different than a cyborg (a human with robotic enhancements) or a robot (a purely mechanical creature) as she is created with nanotechnology - biological machinations - without a human base but with many artificial biological features. She was modified to become a military-grade model with enhanced combat abilities - while she's stronger and has more abilities than the typical human, she's still no match for a completely mechanical soldier (such as the gynoid KOS-MOS), nor could she take on a large number of assailants at once (she was originally designed as a footsoldier, after all). While the nanomachines making up her body allow her a more prehensile presence on the battlefield, she cannot survive in the vacuum of space, operate underwater for prolonged periods of time (for purposes of breathing). As she is built with biological components, she is also subject to several human effects, such as sweating, the need to bathe, eating, sleeping, and waste removal (for the morbidly curious, yes, she is also equipped with reproductive organs, though she is incapable of reproducing). As her base-make up in flawed, she is also subject to slow degredation - she will age and eventually shut down, or die.

Azuka is a bit hardier than a typical human, and heals quicker as well. If a limb of hers gets cut off, it's fairly easy for her body to reconnect the tissues if it's set and left alone for a few hours. This does not apply to beheading - if Azuka is beheaded, she's basically dead as her head contains her main CPU which must be supported by the systems contained in her torso.

In combat, Azuka has the unique ability to temporarily change the form of her body. Examples of this include turning her hand into a hammer, her knees into spikes, her hair into a blade, her elbows into a shield, and other such manuevers - she is only limited by her imagination. The only stipulations are that she cannot create more mass than she already has (so she can't become a five-story mecha unless it's completely hollow), and these changes are only viable for a short time - thirty seconds at the most, before they are forcibly reverted to their humanoid form. She also cannot transform more than two parts of her body at the same time; while she may be able to turn one arm into a blade and the other a shield, she cannot do that as well as turn her feet into skates simultaneously. As such, she is also incapable of changing her entire body.

As mentioned before, Azuka is not equipped with the Hilbert Effect, but this should not affect gameplay unless Gnosis are involved.

Due to her connection with her elder sister Symphorosa, Azuka may call upon her to cast offensive ethers - while Symphorosa is not physically there, when Azuka casts an ether an apparition of Symphorosa will appear behind her, aiding her in her casting. Since Xenosaga (Episode III, anyway) has a total of four elemental damage types, Azuka has one for each.

Re: Bolero - Concentrated fire elemental ether, single target.
Re: Serenade - Concentrated ice elemental ether, single target.
Re: Toccata - Concentrated electrical elemental ether, single target.
Re: Fantasia - Concentrated beam elemental ether, single target.

Obviously, she lacks buffs and healing ethers, and has to rely on others for those purposes.

A side effect of her connection to the Imaginary Realm through Symphorosa is that the manifestation of Azuka's ability to interface with programs come in the form of songs. When Azuka is scanning a computer system or rewriting its code, the compressed coding commands manifest as music through her singing. Simply put, it's song magic - occasionally Azuka will cast her ethers using song commands. Even when Azuka is singing without interfacing with terminals, sometimes a bystander will see Symphorosa's image behind her in the form of a guardian angel.

An abrupt segue, but given Azuka's nature as a humanoid, she is able to interface directly with any technology she comes across (if she ever runs into computers or characters who are part computer, obviously with their permission). Her hair can basically act as a USB cable, if need be. However, this also leaves her open to computer viruses.

Character Name: Dave Lalonde (AU of Dave Strider)
Series: Homestuck
Canon Point: One year point on the meteor
History Link: Link.

AU History: The link is to canon Rose Lalonde, as Dave Lalonde fits into her history but with a few changes because of him being himself. He actually had no ill-will towards his mother, actually found her a bit endearing other than the fact that he was slightly unsettled by the extent she took the wizard thing, thinking it was going just a bit overboard. Dave was the server play to the first one into the game in his session, Jade Egbert, and like Rose he made a walkthrough for it up to a certain point. However, his walkthrough continues longer than Rose's as he didn't blow up his gate like she did. Dave continued his quests as he should have, even learning to play the rain as Rose was supposed to. However, when he realizes that his mother was killed he abandons it, removing it from the earth's servers and placing it in the furthest ring so that no one else could get as far as they did since it wasn't worth risking the lives of anyone who would be in their homes when they enter the medium. There it was found by his world's jade troll, Tavros Nitram, who read it before playing Sgrub and looked up to him for his abilities.

His role in Sburb was "Knight of Light", and he spent most of his time in the Land of Light and Rain. He still had the knitting needles as his weapons, later turned to wands, as they were a present from Jade Egbert and while he never bothered actually using them himself he just didn't have the heart to throw them out. His room on Derse was just like Rose's, with the letters M, E, O and W written on the walls, as Jasper was his cat he would play therapy with. However, unlike Rose, when he finds out their game can't be won he becomes determined to look more into it and try to figure out a way to fix things, learning more about the game in the process and coming up with plans to basically fuck shit up in hopes that it would have a positive result. Instead of taking on a fully dark wizard step though, he dons a yin/yang based outfit to fit his belief that there's light and dark sides of everything and that both are necessary where one exists. His two wands match his belief, one being primarily for dark magic and the other for white magic.

He learned of the nature of the Green Sun as the First Guardians' power source and planned to use his dream self to travel through the furthest ring with his sister's (Rose Strider) guidance to destroy it and nullify Bec Noir's powers. Unlike Rose however, he's a Knight and not a Seer, so he didn't possess the magic cue ball as he wouldn't have been able to see inside of it in the first place. Instead, his seeking out Bec Noir was fully fueled by his rage and desire for revenge at his mother's death. When he finds Jade Egbert there looking for her father, he can't find the words to say it to her, can't break her heart like that and instead decides showing her is the best option. When they encounter Bec Noir and Jade gets killed, it only fuels his rage even more, a rare and near nonexistent case of him snapping so completely that he almost loses himself. He's killed in the fight, but when Jade resurrects she kisses him and awakens his dream self on Derse. There, him and his sister sever the chain connecting Derse to its moon and he knocks her unconscious so he can head to the Green Sun himself without her trying to stop him.

Personality: "Creepy bastard" is usually a term that Lalonde hears quite frequently. He finds it funny really, how other people can be so unsettled by the grimdark. Sometimes he even goes out of his way to expand on things he knows will get to people, just to play with them and judge their reactions. Because really, that's what he loves more than anything else. The reactions he can get from people, predicting how they would act based on what he knows from how their mind works and seeing if they move in predictable patterns or if they'll surprise him with something completely different. Almost every move he makes is based on action and reaction, just waiting to see something out of the norm. Psychology is his passion, and he abuses it to an almost unhealthy degree sometimes. His focus is so strong, sometimes he can come off as detached from reality if he gets too deep into a project he begins working on. The more issues someone has, the more inclined he is to like them simply so he can pick apart their minds. But it's not all selfish, he does do what he can to help them through their problems. But he's not exactly nice while doing it, which of course is where the bastard part comes in. He has no issues telling people what they don't want to hear, even knowing if it would hurt them in some way or another. To his friends, he at least makes somewhat of an attempt to be a bit kinder about it but when it comes to strangers he couldn't give a fuck less. Cold and almost uncaring, he'll tell them everything they never wanted to hear with that little amused smirk on his face the whole time.

But it's not all maturity there, far from it in fact. Much how Dave Strider likes to view himself as a "coolkid", Lalonde likes to see himself as a "mysterious badass" most of the time. He wears trench coats and various shades to give off this effect and always tries to be as vague as possible to keep people wondering. Always keeping his cool and never letting his image down as he's obviously trying to impress others. He keeps his image up at all times, using a confident casual smirk much in the way Strider uses the emotionless flippancy. He abuses his knowledge of psychology to help him with this image, knowing just what to say and do to keep people guessing about him and keeping himself shrouded in mystery. Or so he likes to think at least, his friends (especially his best friend John Harley) can call bullshit on him at any given moment but just let him think what he wants. He knows they see through it and he doesn't care, they're special in that way, but he keeps it up nonetheless around them as much as he feels.

Raised by his mother in a high class environment has changed his interests slightly in various ways. Like how Strider likes drawing his ironically shitty comics, Lalonde is high fond of painting and has spent enough time on it to make himself rather proud of his skills. His drawings are almost always dark in nature, his grimdark obsession showing through the most when he paints. His mysterious and psychological mindfuck ways blend together with his painting more often than not. A simple picture at first, a cave or obscure shadows, nothing too odd at first glance. But after a moment of staring at the picture one begins to see the other shapes hidden, done with just a few shades darker than the main colors so as to be only noticeable when you really look at it, horrorterrors and their rituals in the backgrounds. And if he has enough time on a piece, he adds in special paint which only appears under a blacklight and depicts even more gruesome scenes involving sacrifices and such. These layers fit in with his psychological views nicely, and he's always rather proud of his work. Another thing which he views as a big part of his life is music, though instead of rap he goes for the more dark and soothing types. Bands like Evanescence and Ludo are his favorites, their lyrics and tones relaxing him and letting him go off in his own little world. Sometimes he even goes out of his way to learn their songs on his violin, practicing and playing them in his spare time so he can get better at them.

Despite being a Lalonde, his view on his mother is drastically different from what Rose Lalonde believes. Much how Strider looks up to his guardian and respects his interests, Lalonde actually realized that wizards were indeed his mother's passion and he finds it a bit endearing, if not far too over the top at times, and actually picked it up from her. He doesn't have a close relationship with her though, barely speaking to her most of the time but still giving respect at a distance. He views himself as more independent, able to take care of himself and letting his mother do as she pleases with her alcohol and whatever other hobbies she might indulge in without having to worry about taking care of a child. He usually appreciates the gifts she gives him, even not minding it when she gave him a pony despite it being something more for females. He actually became rather attached to it.

Which is another thing about him really. Despite how he can come off as cruel and uncaring when psychoanalyzing people he doesn't care about, he's actually very nice and thoughtful towards his friends. He doesn't have very many, so the fact that they'll put up with his shit in the first place pleases him to the point of where he'd do just about anything for them and likes seeing them happy. When Jade sent him a knitting set telling him he needs a hobby other than being a total creeper he found the thought endearing and while he never had any intentions of using them he still kept them right next to his desk, he didn't have the heart to throw them out or put them away somewhere out of sight. It was the thought that counted really, and when he needed a weapon when the game came around he finally found a use for them so her gift wouldn't be in vain. He also doesn't mind helping out his sister whenever she's having problems, fully willing to walk her through whatever issues she may be having. He teases her about certain things at times, but really his heart is into it when he's psychoanalyzing her no matter how much personal satisfaction he's getting out of it.

When it comes to his other friend however, it's like a wave breaking down the dam. His best friend John Harley, the only one who can break the image he likes to keep up for himself and prove that he's really just a spoiled kid under it all. His irritation at the other boy slips through at times, even under that little smile he always tries to keep up. He can be prone to annoyance and slight temper flares when his defenses are down, but they're hardly if ever directed specifically at his friend. Those moments when he realizes he does have faults and there's nothing he can do in certain situations to change that. The times when he actually bothers to stop and analyze himself, and he hates what he finds. He appreciates Harley for giving him those chances, even if the boy is completely oblivious to the fact that he's doing it in the first place.

Those moments where he does take a chance to look into himself, he finds everything he never wants anyone else to see. Insecurities being a big one, something that he shares in common with his Strider counterpart. He doesn't believe he's as badass as he likes to make himself out to be, knows full well that it's just an image he keeps up because he's afraid of letting others get close to him. He pushes people away intentionally, never wanting anyone to be able to analyze him like the does to them. The idea that someone could see into his mind and heart and know every move he'll make and thus taking the situation out of his hands scares him and is something he never wants to face if he can avoid it. Which he also knows is why he tries to pull off the mysterious persona so strongly because if you bullshit all the time with vague things then people can't pinpoint your actual thought process. Because of this, if he ever meets another Lalonde he becomes territorial and cautious, staying away from them as much as he can and avoiding any actual conversations so that they can't take the chance to look at what he really is. His defenses are always up and no matter who they are or what alternate timeline they may come from, he knows a Lalonde is a Lalonde and they're the ones who would be able to see straight through his mask into what he never even wants to fully see for himself. He can dish things out without a care in the world, but he has a harder time actually taking his own medicine. It's rare times like those when he can lose his temper, become a bit more sharper with people than he is normally. When all of his defenses are up and he's like a caged animal baring it's teeth and daring someone to step into it's cage.

Powers:
+ Sylladex: An inventory system that consists of two decks of cards: the Captchalogue Deck and the Strife Deck. When an item is stored, they have no physical size or weight which essentially makes it like a magic satchel.
+ Magic wands: Dave possesses two knitting needles which work as powerful magic wands, capable of causing great destruction even from long distances. Able to banish a document from Earth's servers and send it where it could be found in another universe and even able to blow up someone's computer in said universe, they're dangerously strong and he's an expert at using them. Limiting them is an option if needed.
+ God tier: He's immortal so long as his death is not just or heroic. Powers specific to being the Knight of Light are unknown at this time.
+ On the nonmagical side of things, Dave alone is highly intelligent and well versed in matters involving psychology and various forms of art. He prides himself in his ability to analyze anyone no matter the situation along with his skill in painting and playing his violin. He's also rather proud of his knowledge of the horrorterrors and other questionable such creatures.

Other Details: The following samples are from a sex game where he was aged up, but only physically so his. I'm not importanting previous game memories, they're just the best samples I have for him. The first one is threads from him and the second is a self analysis journal he started working on to track his own progress.

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Arisawa Tatsuki (AU)
Series: BLEACH
Canon Point: Six years after Aizen's sealing -- earth time and after her death.
History Link: Canon History here.

AU/OC History:
Contrary to canon, Tatsuki was killed in the Karakura Town Arc by Aizen. Ichigo didn't make it in time to save her or the others from danger. She died, while the others were severely injured. Because of her reiatsu status on her death, and her relationship to Ichigo, she was immediately swept up and brought to the shinigami academy -- mostly for her own good. Tatsuki had so much reiatsu spilling out from her close relationship with Ichigo in life that it was ridiculous and posed a danger in her District in Soul Society. She immediately entered the academy, whether she liked it or not. Because of his help, Ichigo was granted visiting rights to Tatsuki but their relationship was strained to say the least. He was getting older while she seemed to be stuck at sixteen. Even growing out her hair didn't help, or working out to grow muscle, Soul Society's time just moved at an infantile pace.

Still, eventually, things evened out between them (it helped when he'd bring Orihime too) and he came to her graduation. Tatsuki did so well, she received three offers: from the 2nd, the 9th and the 11th. Ichigo tried to help her and told her to absolutely not to pick the 11th Division, whatever she did!

Of course that's the one she picked.

Currently, after three human years in the division, she's worked and earned her way up to 7th seat, her new scars telling her story. She visits Orihime now and then and tries to deal with 'life' after death.

Personality:
At first seemingly tough and scary, Tatsuki is a very loyal and caring friend to those she lets in past her guard. In fact, she’s mostly a very level headed and even tempered person unless she’s provoked. It’s just that, in the manga, somehow she’s usually getting provoked, by either Asano Keigo or Ichigo. She is very protective, especially to her best girl-friend, Orihime, which is illustrated on a daily basis by beat downs of perverts like Honshou Chizuru who’d like nothing else than to get their hands on the innocent princess. Tatsuki has stated in canon, about Orihime, “anyone who makes you cry, I’ll make cry”. This goes back to middle school, when a gang of girls picked on the girl, cutting her orange/red hair off and continued to pick on her after her brother died. Tatsuki of course, beat the other girls up and became her best friend and protector.

The only feminine thing about her is that she writes her first name in hiragana instead of kanji, because it 'looks cuter'. A tomboy from the first, it's easy to classify her and peg her as simply that, but in the later manga chapters, it's easy to see she is much deeper than that, in her concern for Ichigo and Orihime and then frustration at being able to do nothing when both were made pawns in Aizen’s plot.

She is a great believer in rules (ones she deems appropriate) and is a monitor at her school, watching out for the younger years and keeping the older ones in line. An acquaintance of hers once said that he "wouldn't take Tatsuki on with a bazooka”, something Ichigo has found out from his very early youth (four years old) when they met in the dojo. After his mother died, she because almost his unspoken champion -- cheering him when he was upset and helping him beat up the bullies who picked on him for his hair. Because they’ve know each other for so long, Tatsuki usually has some very deep insights into his personality that other characters don’t.

Her biggest fear is being left behind and alone. This is referenced over and over in the manga -- at the beginning of the Soul Society arc, when Tatsuki knows Orihime is leaving and most likely ‘not’ going to her grandmother’s house. It happens again after the beginning of the school year, when she sees how everyone has changed after Soul Society (not that she knows what’s happened).
Her fear becomes more poignant when she finally finds out about Ichigo’s shinigami’s powers and Orihime gets kidnapped by Aizen. Tatsuki realizes that she can’t rely on herself for once -- she has to trust Ichigo to get them back for her. He’s going a place she can’t go and Orihime has went there too. Her friends, her ‘best’ friends have left her behind to worry and she doesn’t like the feeling at all. It almost breaks her.

It all changes later when she's able to become a shinigami but even then she still feels a constant need to prove herself. Having a reputation already as 'that friend of Kurosaki's' isn't an easy thing to a newbie in the ranks of the Gotei 13. It's why she chose the squad she did, the one Ichigo told her NOT to -- because squad 11 allowed her to live up to her own merits after she proved herself...and didn't mention Ichigo again.

Powers:
Basic shinigami powers first off: longevity, durability (moreso than a human), immense reiatsu that allows them to use kidou and shunpo. She is trained in all the arts of Zankensoki, like all shinigami as well. But Tatsuki is best particularly in Hakuda and Hoho.

Her Zanpakutou is a typical Japanese wakizashi, a small one at that, blade about 12 inches in length (in it's released form). Her shikai release is "Yakedo!" (火傷, "Burn!") It causes her zanpakuou to 'meld' to her fists and arms, the metal going all the way up to her shoulders. Various spikes, hooks and other wicked looking protrusions follow the metal up and down her arm and onto her shoulder. It covers her fists like a glove, allowing finger movement but looks most menacing when she's forming a fist -- spikes protruding from every knuckle, filigree and kanji shining and seeming to burn all over. Her shikai seems to take advantage of her status as a hand to hand fighter, and her shunpo speed increases, enabling her to get in closer range, not that she needs to -- just punching in the direction of an opponent releases great blasts of hot waves, able to knock most down. She can also have a lightning-like blast come out of her hands and arms with the punches, causing fire and/or burns. This is similar to the kitsune's 'fox-fire' or kitsune-bi in folklore. As for future bankai abilties, those are going to be decided later. Two releases for her shikai are the already mentioned foxfire or called "kitsune-bi" and the other called "kitsunetsuki", fox-possession. Tatsuki doesn't POSSESS the person but her strikes drain the energy out of her opponent while giving it to her zanpakutou and herself. (like it does in a traditional kitsune possession.)
Her actual zanpakutou's spirit is that of a kitsune and can take two forms -- either that of an actual large fox -- approximately the size of a dog -- or that of a humanoid with fox features. He generally has a human face with fox-like ears and two tails, plus an arrogant personality. It is this form they use when they're training.

Other Details: The samples I'm providing are from sex games where Tatsuki is from her original universe and aged up from after the canon timeskip. If you need others I can provide them.

AU/OC History:

While this colorswap closely follows canon events, there are a few significant differences right from the start. The first: the trolls and the kids have "swapped" places and colors, resulting in different guardians, blood colors, and text colors. The kids are:

Jade Egbert (with Dad, Witch of Breath)
John Lalonde (with Mom, Heir of Light)
Rose Strider (with Bro, Seer of Time)
Dave Harley (with Grandpa, Knight of Space)

While the trolls are as follows:

mutant!Equius (Heir of Blood), maroon!Gamzee (Bard of Time), brown!Feferi (Witch of Breath), yellow!Eridan (Prince of Doom), green!Tavros (Page of Heart), jade!Karkat (Knight of Space), teal!Nepeta (Rogue of Mind), cerulean!Aradia (Maid of Light), navy!Sollux (Mage of Void), indigo!Vriska (Thief of Rage), purple!Terezi (Seer of Hope), and Tyrian!Kanaya (Sylph of Life).

Because of this, Jade goes from the first to crash-land via meteor to the last; dropping into earth on April 13th, 1995, she accidentally killed her Nanna in a freak meteor accident involving a joke shop and an old lady who needed to go into the store to get one last thing. Stricken by Nanna's death, Dad Egbert gathered up both his loving mother's ashes and the newly arrived Jade Egbert and carried them both back to his Seattle, Washington home.

The first thirteen years of Jade's life were relatively normal; she grew up as a normal child with a loving, sometimes overbearing Dad who believed that one day she would mature into a strong, beautiful young woman. There were times when Jade felt a bit lonely -- bullies at school were not kind to the little girl with big glasses and buckteeth -- so when she was looking for friends, she took to the internet for solace. There, she met three people who would soon become her best friends for life: John, Rose, and Dave. They talked to one another via pesterchum, where they took on 'handles' in order to communicate every day.

Jade's chumhandle, while retaining the same initials as canon, is completely different: gregariousGyver. This reflected her interests -- tinkering and mechanics at the foremost (a callback to Jade Harley, who had a preoccupation with tinkering and gadgetry). In addition, she shares canon John Egbert's love of everything cheesy, but her interests are in old-school soap operas and detective shows: particularly MacGyver, the detective mischief-maker who could fashion anything he needed out of simple, household objects (like a paperclip, gum, and some fishing line, for example!). While her friends think this is pretty dorky of her, Jade adores anything that comes with a catchy theme song and a clever ending…but of course, MacGyver is her ultimate guycrush. (they are going to be together forever!! <3333)

Because canon Jade's approach to her guardians is fundamentally different than John's, her relationship with Dad is also slightly different than in canon. Instead of rejecting Dad's love of confectionary objects like John, Jade Egbert actually revels in them; she has learned how to cook all on her own, though she is particularly….average. Prone to ad-libbing rather than following cookbooks or recipes, her items tend to come out inedible at worst and cringe-worthy at best. Of course, this is also the source of her strife with Dad: because he so frequently attempts to help her in the kitchen, she argues with him frequently -- because, like Jade Harley, she is very independent, but like John Egbert, her fundamentally pleasant relationship with her Dad means that their strife scenes are never particularly serious. (I mean, who fights over whether you add salt or sugar? Come on Jade.)

On her thirteenth birthday, Jade Egbert anxiously awaited the arrival of a game called SBURB (which was late!!). She had been looking forward to it for weeks -- one of Jade's favorite types of video games were the dorky world-building type, where you had to make your citizens happy and build them nice homes by combining a bunch of ridiculous objects, so this was right down her alley. Rose didn't want to play, and Dave was busy, so Jade became the client to John Lalonde -- a rather…macabre version of John who took great delight in making Jade traipse all over her house to do things…at least until the meteor. Then they took it seriously.

After arriving in the Land of Wind and Frost, it was only a matter of time until Jade's friends joined her; as the first person in the medium, Jade also had a fun time examining her seemingly barren arctic wasteland, as well as creating a lot of cute new winter outfits, since she was vastly unprepared for the weather. Jade learned from the creatures that lived on her land that one day, the Breeze would come and blow all of the snow clear off of the planet -- and only then, would Spring come to them. Jade thought it was intensely fascinating -- wow! A whole world with a super cool quest!

Also during this time, Jade became aware of the fact that she had been writing on her walls for years -- things were scribbled all over her walls, along with crude drawings of strange harlequins. Jade had always wondered why her dad insisted on putting them all over the house (even though they were kind of cute, they were immensely creepy), and once John pointed out that she had been drawing them over her walls, she finally realized it -- and this was the beginning of her self-awakening, as well as her awakening on Prospit. Jade's dreamself was asleep for most of the beginning of her journey, even before she had gained the discs to SBURB; and though Dave Harley had been trying to wake her up, it was to no avail. Finally, Jade managed to wake up on Prospit, but only after Dave had thrown himself in the way of a falling piece of the moon to save her life. Unlike Jade Harley, Jade Egbert had no prior knowledge of Prospit, and although Dave promised that one day they would walk the golden streets together, she never did; it was destroyed before she woke up.

Of course, Jade was also led astray by a few trolls during her journey, especially a certain Seer of Hope -- convinced to fight her denizen while she was still on the lowest rung of the escheladder, Jade accidentally created a doomed timeline which Rose came back from rather embittered and angry. Thankfully, Rosesprite managed to stop Jade from doing it again…in a rather mean way, but it worked. That didn't stop Jade from trusting trolls, though; she was close friends with Feferi Peixes, a teal-blooded troll who wanted to be GAM---E BUDDI--ES with her. Eventually, this friendship lead to her second death…

…but thankfully for Jade, this death was a lot more helpful. After Jack Noir killed her as she slept on her quest bed, Jade ascended to god tier as the Witch of Breath, fully awakened to all of her god tier Breath powers…though she wasn't exactly sure what that meant, but hey! She had a lot of time to find out! She couldn't even be mad at Feferi, because the result had been pleasant, even if dying hadn't been; after all, the troll had her best interests in heart. Right?

The rest of her story closely follows Homestuck canon: after she ascends, she seeks out her Dad, who has been causing mischief; she meets up with John along the way, who has gone a little….dark. Jade doesn't seem to mind (John I think we are supposed to get married! Isn't that weird?), but both of them find their dead parents and Jack Noir on the roof of the castle. Jade dies and revives, but John dies for good -- and Jade kisses him to wake up his dream self. Jade then proceeds to make plans for the Scratch, aided by Dave, because Rose goes a little batshit and tries to rip a hole in the fabric of time to save Dave from Jack Noir and also offs herself. Combined, Dave and Jade put together a plan -- Jade uses her giant fucking whisk that is combined with one of the Quills of Echidna to start the scratch on Rose's planet while Dave accidentally dies and ascends to god tier as the Knight of Space in order to bust a hole through the fourth wall. Meanwhile, Rose and John go through with their plan to "destroy" the Green Sun, and actually end up creating it -- only to ascend to god tier the super secret alternate way: the Seer of Time and the Heir of Light. With Dave and Jade on a ship and John and Rose on a meteor flying off to approximately the same destination, shenanigans will occur. It's only a matter of time.

Other miscellaneous tidbits:
- Jade no longer fights with riflekind, as Grandpa Harley's preoccupation with guns of all shapes and sizes is not shared by Dad, and certainly no Egbert would be seen carrying a weapon like that if they wished to be a Serious MacGyver! Instead, Jade's weapon is whiskkind, taken from her love of (bad…) cooking.
- Encouraged by the cheerfulness of her favorite 50s television shows, Jade frequently makes friendship tokens for her best friends in DIY style: chains out of paperclips and necklaces made out of recycled metal and crayons are not uncommon. Jade wears every friendship bracelet she's ever made a pair for on her wrists -- so think 13 year old girl with at least 50 silly bands, only those silly bands are mostly made out of household objects.
- Jade managed the Ectobiology in this session. Gee, I wonder why everyone was switched up in the first place… (She loved the babies. They were super cute.)
- Jade's sprite is still Nannasprite, but her Nannasprite has two arms (the second one was held together with thumbtacks, so it didn't fall off like John's did). She still only prototyped the Harlequin before entry; her harlequin was a ~fairy princess~ and as such had a very silly hat and dress. Poor Jack.
- Jade's modus used to be Queue/Stack/Array, just like John's was. Only she's even worse at using them because she doesn't like computer programming, so she eventually trades with Dave for a handy Operation modus! (The board game. With the buzzer. And the little man.) She is much better at that one, because making all of those funny bracelets has given her steady hands.
- Jade types in Egbert blue. Her eyes are also blue to reflect this.

AU/OC History:

(also includes some history on this Starscream's mirrorverse dimension)

This Starscream was pretty much born to the lower castes, but even that's rather complicated. Birthplace and long-time home was the Crystal Sector, which is where the complication starts. Crystal Sector was once better off, and with a ruling lineage, but after getting on the wrong side of the Council, Crystal Sector and its ruling lineage fell. It was then mostly low class, deprived, crawling with crime, everyone essentially out for themselves and throwing their lots in with competing crimelords when trying to get ahead. The ruling lineage still existed, but in name and record only. Crystal Sector's current ruling lineage's descendants were born just as poor as the rest and fighting on relatively equal ground with the rest for control. Starscream was born to this formerly in-control ruling lineage, the youngest of his trine--his trinemates being Thundercracker and Skywarp. While their guardian and biological procreator moved to get back on top as her ancestors had been, she placed Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp in the role of stealing whatever the highest bidder wanted. (The trine's other procreator died while they were being constructed in their incubation tube.) Assuming she and her trine progeny were successful, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Starscream would all be next in line and expected to rule cooperatively together.

Despite their low class, poverty, and not really being in charge but rather struggling to regain that control, Starscream and his trine were trained as much as possible to lead, and lead in concert with each other. Starscream went along with such preparations, but it was science that really caught his interest. If he could pick his caste, he would not go with his currently disgraced ruling lineage, but the scientist caste. He taught himself scientific practice, doing his own experiments and tinkering with machines and studying when he can, and from what contraband materials he could gather in his unstable home. Knowing that, Starscream was sent to case some research labs at another high class sector, even acting undercover if need be. Pretty much the only reason it was Starscream sent out to steal from the labs, as he wasn't as stealthy as Thundercracker or Skywarp (Thundercracker and Skywarp had some scientific interest, but as intense as Starscream's). There, Starscream crossed paths with Jetfire, and despite everything they end up bonding. It was in Jetfire's nature to be a bit relaxed like that; he responded to Starscream's genuine passion for science; and he recognized that Starscream was sort of reluctant and not that much of a brutish thief. After making friends with Jetfire, Starscream was pulled away, even though he was empty-handed--fighting had gotten more intense back at Crystal Sector, inflamed by Megatronus and Orion Pax's talk of breaking down the caste system and true equality. Starscream's guardian and trine came out on top, their lineage finally in control after generations going without such mastery.

Crystal Sector was being cleaned up. Orion Pax had been made Optimus Prime, Megatron as his Lord Protector and Second-in-Command, and were similarly cleaning up Cybertron. Starscream began formal training in science with Jetfire. Everything seemed to be looking up. Then horrible rumors started of Prime's connection to Cybertronians that had gone missing, the experiments, his betrayal and execution of his comrade-friend and Lord Protector Megatron...and then the Prime turned harsher. Megatron resurfaced. The Autobot-Decepticon split began. Crystal Sector was one of those declaring themselves Unaligned/Neutral. This was unacceptable to Optimus Prime. He proceeded to make an example of the Crystal Sector, ordering a siege against them. Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp joined Energon Seeker squadrons to find more resources when the siege began to deplete their home's reserves. Their squadron was ambushed and captured, only their squad leader killed. They were taken to the Omicron space station for the Protoform X Project--experiments in spark **indestructibility via infusions of Dark Energon and Synthetic Energon and other techniques, chiefly done by Ratchet and Elita-One.

Initially when Starscream survived the (agonizing) experimental procedure, proved by the fact that he survived lethal damage inflicted on his spark, he was thought to be mostly a success. He didn't have a quick healing factor along with the indestructible spark as was part of the original objective, but the indestructible spark had been more of a priority for the research project. Starscream's trine was naturally selected to undergo the procedure next, thinking they too would respond just as well as their youngest trinemate. But Thundercracker and Skywarp died. Starscream's whole squad died after being experimented on. Ratchet, Elita and the other scientists came to realize that Starscream's spark was naturally mutated, apparently for genetically inclined for indestructibility--difficult to confirm now after doing the procedure on him and infusing his spark with Dark Energon, hard to determine if Starscream's spark was indestructible to begin with, or his mutation combined with the Dark Energon procedure acted as a catalyst for the indestructibility. Ratchet and Elita found uses for the bodies of Starscream's trine and squadron--experimenting in Dark Energon reviving non-sentient, undying creatures of great violence. Experiments of their behavior and combat possibilities were undertaken when pitting them against Starscream and drones under controlled circumstances (also testing Starscream's indestructible spark in combat). When Ratchet and Elita were away to more pressing battles in the growing war, something went wrong at the Omicron Labs. The facility was locked in, the occupants trapped. The reanimated Dark Energon-infused Seekers took over the space station, slaughtering the other scientists, personnel and guards. Then it was only Starscream and the crazed reanimated Seekers left behind at the Omicron Labs.

Eventually Megatron himself crash landed at the station, stranded and seeking to repair his ship and escape. Megatron and Starscream teamed up and escaped, but ended up freeing the reanimated Seekers in the process. Starscream learned the Crystal Sector had been razed to the ground, his guardian and everyone else he knew most likely dead. Fueled only by sheer rage, Starscream made an ill-fated attempt on Optimus Prime's life for ordering the siege on his home in the first place. Prime handily beat him, and only the combined efforts of Soundwave, Breakdown and Knock Out saved Starscream from being thrown back to Ratchet and Elita. After all of this, Starscream was rather unhinged. It didn't help that the Dark Energon infusions gave him visions and the sounds of Unicron, which included images of a planet exploding. It simply made him seem delusional to everyone else, the visions never taken seriously. Given that Megatron was the first in a while to be anything approaching kind to him and helped him escape, Starsscream became fiercely loyal to the Decepticon leader. Megatron had Knock Out figure out a way to drain the extra Dark Energon out of Starscream, which was successful, if a painful process for Starscream to endure. Starscream wanted his spark's indestructibility removed, as immortality did not seem all that appealing to him in the long run. It became a hope; Megatron told Starscream it was possible, and when Starscream could stand it, Decepticon scientists had tried to figure out ways to remove Starscream's indestructibility. But Starscream steadily grew to gave up hope that his spark would ever be mortal, while Megatron persisted to believe it could happen.

The Decepticons worked to weaponize the Dark Energon draining process, to deal with the crazed reanimated Seekers/Terrorcons that had been released from the Omicron labs during Megatron and Starscream's escape. Starscream himself ended up draining his reanimated trine of their Dark Energon, effectively terminating them, 'killing' them a second time. Starscream's stability took another blow after that. The Terrorcons were gradually taken down during the war. Eventually Starscream mostly recovered, despite a set-back to his morale when Cliffjumper killed Jetfire during the war. Eventually Megatron made him Second-in-Command and convinced him to accept the role. And eventually the Exodus from Cybertron happened, and the Nemesis and Prime's crew ended up on Earth where they fought over Energon. And now the Decepticons tried to keep Earth's people from being completely dragged into their war. On Earth, Starscream finally avenged Jetfire by killing Cliffjumper. See here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starscream#Beast_Wars for full reference to the inspiration for the mutated and indestructible spark. Also http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Starscream_(Prime) for any other ref.

**Mortal spark: Can be killed, or die of old age. Spark equivalent to a human's heart. The spark can be physically harmed, and is one of if not the most fragile and critical part of Cybertronian anatomy. If the spark suffers enough physical trauma, it will flicker out and die.

Indestructible spark: Can withstand any physical trauma without dying. This does not mean the Cybertronian body it powers is granted a heightened healing factor. And if the mental processor or mind is taken out, if its connection to the indestructible spark is severed, it can still go on, but it can no longer control the body.

Personality: Similarities to the other Starscream:

This Starscream is a still a volatile personality.

He can switch from civility (though mostly genuine rather than falsified) to unbridled rage, to frantic panic, to stinging sarcasm, to an almost paralyzing fear, to ruthless action, to cunning manipulation, to rash impulsiveness, to determined fervor, to loud rebellion against authority, to reluctant or persuaded obedience, to snapping out his own orders all within his own nature, rarely sticking to any one emotional range for very long. He is still just rather emotional, finding it difficult to keep his composure all the time, though it's not completely out of his reach.

He's not entirely above manipulation or ruthless action. He can still act rashly and follow impulsive action. A crippling fear can still mess with his decision-making skills and general composure. His biting remarks and sarcasm are still present. He's still prone to violent rages. He still has a volatile temper. He still defies authority and questions it. He still has a connection with science. He still has a inclination toward avoiding serious conflict to an extent, in favor of talking his way out of a crisis. He still harbors, at the very least, that apparent preference for flight, rather than ground modes. He is still very talkative.

Differences from the other Starscream:

His motives and deepest nature provide a stark contrast. Starscream has a moral core and compassionate streak. Such traits were nurtured with the close bond he had with his trine and the relatively close relationship to his procreator; they were family, and supported each other, and Starscream's sensitivity and fond, protective regard to his family was able to expand to others in a general compassion for life. Such traits endured despite the experimentation and trauma he experienced; they were salvaged after Megatron rescued him and provided him with medical care, giving Starscream the first scrap of any sort of kindness he'd received in a long time, and encouraged him to retain his own--if only because it inspired great loyalty to Megatron, who bore his own particular moral code. Besides that, the experimentation and trauma also changed him, amplifying and lessening certain aspects of his character. Such as making him even more sensitive to the pain of others and actually increasing his compassion; though that same trauma also helped make him more ruthless to those he regards as particularly vile enemies, and more ruthless in safeguarding those he cares for/considers under his protection (i.e. he does not wish to lose/fail someone like he did with his trine). And that same trauma did contribute to his sense of fear and apprehension.

Fear more often makes him take action, since the thought of what will happen if he doesn't act frightens him more. But ultimately that fear and desire to talk his way out of conflict is pretty much pacifistic, rather than fear for his own safety--he'd rather talk his way out of a fight, distract, evade, or compromise and negotiate with an enemy, practically anything but actually cause someone physical harm, let alone kill them. It's more a fear of causing pain and death that freaks him out, rather than harm to his own person per se. That inclination was only amplified during the experiments, where it got to the point that hearing the pain and death of others was more distressing to Starscream than pain to his own person, which was something he actually grew more accustomed to. But that pacifism is a deep-seated desire overridden by the trauma of experimentation and the fact that he's been surviving a war, and he can and will cause harm in defense of others and himself when necessary. It's even more overridden with certain individuals he does thirst for revenge against (i.e. his world's Ratchet, Optimus Prime, etc.). And so his volatile temper and bouts of violent rage are more motivated by pure revenge against Autobots who've harmed those he cared for or himself, rather than pure malice in his character or attempts to assert himself and gain power. Though currently he now struggles with the idea of taking revenge after successfully doing it with Cliffjumper, because Starscream feels worse. He didn't expect to feel better, but feeling worse is an unwelcome surprise. Revenge against Cliffjumper had a lot to do with Starscream's loyalty and affection for his friend, Jetfire, whom Cliffjumper had killed before his optics. Starscream can be loyal unlike his other counterpart, and that loyalty can be a fierce and strong thing when given to people--but given the revenge he took in the name of someone he'd both given loyalty to and was unable to protect, even that loyalty can be twisted. Starscream's ruthless streak crops up more when in the middle of protecting those he's loyal to or whom he feels are under his protection, rather than during times when he wants to advance himself. To betray his loyalty and trust is to provoke his utter rage.

Starscream loves science. Nothing like exploration or new knowledge to brighten his day, though a good flight does the same, he loves flying. And he has a love for all sciences, the 'hard' ones and the 'soft' ones. He just generally loves learning new things, he's a very inquisitive creature. Starscream's pretty civil, friendly even, and can be helpful. He does have a sense of humor, even able to mock himself (though that can be self-deprecating). But that humor can mock others as well as himself. Again, quickest way to his good side is feeding his lust for new knowledge. He does have a deep sense of responsibility that can be triggered under the right circumstances, learning a more positive aspect of leadership than his counterpart. That tendency for responsibility has only been further honed while serving as Megatron's Second-In-Command. He knows his manners and employs them the most when trying to negotiate, but Starscream can be pretty volatile. The loyalty and all the revenge and ruthlessness connected to it speaks to him being pretty passionate, and those passions can get out of hand. He can be caustic and sarcastic and downright angry and lose his temper, even with his comrades. This volatile nature speaks to the fact that he is at the very least slightly unstable, or functionally dysfunctional. Starscream's been severely traumatized by the Protoform X experiments and the war that cost him his trinemates, guardian, home sector, Jetfire, a number of other friends and comrades and eventually his entire planet (though he knows much of that embodies his entire people, except for the experimentation). So he can lose his temper in spectacular ways, can act more conspicuously unhinged at times, will go without sleep to avoid nightmares which only messes even more with his head.

Starscream has less pride than his counterpart; he has some pride, in his flying skills at least. But he's rather more cognizant of his flaws, self-deprecating. He's cognizant of his self-loathing, too. Like his counterpart, he has a high level of determination to keep going, but he takes loss hard, perceiving that what was lost was his fault, i.e. the deaths of his trinemates, Jetfire, etc. But he's not about to really advertise his weaknesses to strangers per se (he'd only share them with close companions he could trust with spilling his metaphorical guts out to); he'd still try to cover them up, actually, not unlike how his counterpart tends to do. Besides the self-loathing, ultimate disregard for his own life stems from his indestructible spark--something like that messes with his head. For one, there's some depression over the thought that he'll probably outlive anyone he connects with, an almost eternal survivor's guilt ('probably' and 'almost' hinge on the possibility he can find others who are essentially immortal too, it's pretty certain that he'll won't die of old age and definitely not mortal attack). But also knowing his spark will survive the experience, his nature has grown more reckless (despite his Megatron ruthlessly training him not to rely so much on his indestructible spark). Starscream is very talkative and a motormouth, much of that stemming from his enthusiasm and eccentric, quirky social skills, but also anxiety. The more excited or panicked he is, Starscream tends to ramble on more. His social skills aren't perfect; they can be really good for negotiating at times, and then other times it's just rambling and awkwardness; sometimes he can be really observant, and other times he can be truly dense, the seriously absent-minded scientist. Ultimately he feels uncomfortable with leadership, but can do better than first perceived. Much of that discomfort stems from his trauma and guilt over his trinemates' death inspiring doubt in him and making him perhaps too cognizant of his flaws and weaknesses and general imperfection; even as a leader he could not save them, what could he really accomplish as one? Starscream failed in probably what he ended up wanting most, to protect his trine. If he couldn't do that, Starscream doubts he can lead successfully. Also, Starscream's training in his ruling lineage heritage was very specific--Starscream was trained to lead with his trine, in concert. To lead as three, not one. That training and instilled expectation further increases his doubt over his solo leadership skills. And it does even go to a spark level--trines are sparks generated simultaneously, it is just painful in every way imaginable to lose any trinemate, and the loss of that can still leave the survivor(s) very unbalanced. The responsibility of leadership is not his first choice, but loyalty to Megatron and the Decepticons spurred him to accept the Second-in-Command position (not unlike how loyalty to his procreator made him go along with leadership training rather than try rejecting it). The only type of leadership he feels comfortable with is leading a flight squadron, because he trusts himself better in the air, if only because he still loves flying, and that joy relaxes him better and lessens doubt. It's just if everything were perfect, he'd be a scientist and exploring, not Second-in-Command in a war. And like his counterpart, Starscream just can't stop himself from speaking his mind--it's part of what landed him the job as Megatron's second. But then Starscream can be pretty defiant and reckless and impulsive with his leader or any authority figure, losing control at times. He is a very adaptable creature.

Powers:

*Powers/Abilities:

Spark mutated to be indestructible, once affected by Dark Energon; now dampened to some extent after interdimensional travel, becoming a sturdier spark than most, but no longer indestructible, instead mortal.

Scientific ingenuity, skill and passion.

Really is a skilled flyer, especially in aerial combat.

Fair martial combat skills, but again not as good as his aerial combat prowess.

Speed makes up for lack of great physical force.

Leadership and negotiation skills. Strategist.

In bipedal form, his claws can sharpen; arms can transform into additional blasters; has pre-set rocket launchers on his arms that require no additional transformation after the shift from jet mode to bipedal mode. Accuracy in bipedal form is fair; accuracy in jet mode better.

AU/OC History: None!

Game Import: Nope!

Personality: Crocodile is the epitome of cruelty and arrogance. After crossing the seas and seeing some of the worst things in the world, Crocodile became a crime boss who sought after a weapon of mass destruction which would earn him control of all the seas. It's clear that he has little regard for others, even his subordinates. The fact that he keeps his own identity completely secret with all of his subordinates along Baroque Works indicates that he's careful enough in his dealings to tie up loose ends wherever he can. However, Crocodile's ego is overwhelming enough that he won't confirm killing his foes under the premise that they're far below him. He assumes Luffy is dead twice--which costs him in the end.

He's arrogant and deliberate in how he speaks--in a slow drawl that implies he's completely sure of himself. Crocodile's marked cruelty comes easily in this regard as he doesn't ever really stumble when he's talking to someone unless it's Emporio Ivankov--who has information on Crocodile's past. It's evident as well that Crocodile understands his own 'strength' and acts accordingly to deal with plans in his own capacity. His dream to be the Pirate King had likely been subverted because of his awareness of his own limitations, since he decided to take over Alabasta first instead of the entire sea at once.

This sense of weakness, of course, comes from his loss to Whitebeard, the Strongest Man in the World. Crocodile sets it as a goal to kill Whitebeard, likely to make sure that he's strong enough to take on the rest of the world without overstepping his bounds. Though, despite knowing his weaknesses, Crocodile isn't encumbered by them. Crocodile fights Haki-users who can exploit his vulnerability easily without feeling uneasy. He even fights Luffy to the best of his ability, knowing better than to be crippled by worries that he can't counter his own vulnerability.

On the other hand, Crocodile does have a few 'good' capacities in the midst of his horrible self. He repeatedly spits on the Marines by saving Ace, Jinbe and Luffy on a few occasions, feeling as if he didn't want them to have the satisfaction of victory over them. While Crocodile is easily a villain, he doesn't like how the Marines conduct themselves in a way that puts them on a pedastal. Crocodile is the type of man who would believe that villains have to act like villains rather than supplanting themselves on a false seat of justice. In this regard, Crocodile believes this because he refers to Luffy as a rookie--one who isn't ready for the real world. He obviously believes he's a 'true' pirate, one who can be cruel in order to progress in the world. Because of this, Crocodile doesn't seem to have any semblance of a conscious, since it was likely beaten out of him in his own rookie years.

Powers: Crocodile has the ability to turn his whole body into sand, fly at some levels, suck the moisture out of living beings and inanimate objects and completely manipulate sand in a vicinity of his regular body. He's capable of making massive sand storms and throwing pockets of sand at such a velocity that it can tear through wood, iron and steel with ease as if they were cut and smashed by blades. Crocodile's ability to remove the moisture from virtually anything means he can turn wood to dust and stone to sand. Since Crocodile is also virtually intangible unless someone coats themselves in water to strike him directly--since this cancels out his intangibility. As with all Devil Fruit Users as well--Crocodile is made tangible upon contact with 'Seastone', a quasi-metal that exists in the One Piece universe. This stone takes away his powers and weakens him severely when it's in contact with his skin.

Other Details: Crocodile has a prosthetic left arm--which he maintains as a giant golden hook full of poison. Beneath the hook, especially if it's broken off, there is a blade that is also coated with poison which can pop out as well. Aside from Crocodile's powers--he's extremely adept in dealing with criminal enterprises to the extent that he can manipulate the dealings of an entire country, presumably enhanced by the use of his devil fruit powers and given the fact that in normal situations, he's cruel to an exceptional point.

SAMPLES "Lend you my help?" Crocodile raised himself up from the 'table' he had been laid out on when he arrived. Fixing his coat in that gap of silence, he ignored the message once it was halfway through. He didn't need to hear the rest. It was likely just a little dab of blackmail. If they wanted 'help', they could ask the Marines. Maybe they could arrange for a few Vice Admirals or even the big guys to show up, but to bring an ex-Warlord into the mix was just a mistake. Especially himself, "It must be amateur-hour, here. Who would be stupid enough to ask 'me'?"

Unlike the other newcomers, the sight of the people with wings, gnomes and other 'aberrations' didn't phase him in the slightest. It was background noise to a man who had managed to see even crazier things in his lifetime. 'The New World' was a dash of all these oddities, pock-marked with cruelty, crushed dreams and the worst parts of humanity.

He found himself standing out in the street--his eyes guided past the mass of tightly closed buildings before his eyes found the ceiling of the city--lit up with magical lamps and tunnels bringing light down from the top as well. Crocodile sneered, looking back to the street and striding along it. He'd take a shot at finding that portal eventually, but he had plenty of time to return to the New World. It wasn't ever about securing his position as the King--even if he didn't want to admit that it was his goal.

It was about crushing everyone in his way. With Whitebeard dead, Crocodile would have to kill the next one below. Marco? Jozu? If those two survived, it might have been between the two of them. Then came the Marines and everyone below. For the meanwhile, Crocodile knew a dead situation when he was in one. He was brought there one way or another and wanted to find out how. So, he lingered. He'd find out their method and copy it for himself if he could. If he couldn't do that--he'd find a way to get someone else to do it who definitely could. The thought livened himself up and while chewing on his long since depleted cigar, Crocodile chuckled in a long and arrogant drawl.

There would be things to do and people to cripple, but it felt like he would have a lot of time to do it. If he could do in one country, how difficult would one measley city be?

Character Name: Stiles Stilinski
Series: Teen Wolf

History Link: Link.

AU History:
Stiles' AU is based on what would have happened in Teen Wolf if it was Stiles who received the bite in the first episode instead of Scott.

Scott refused to go with Stiles to go looking for the half of the body and thus Stiles went into the woods alone. During this period he stumbled across the top half of Laura Hale, and then he was bitten by the Alpha. And because Stiles is still very much Stiles, he is very confused by the Alpha because he knows there aren’t any wolves in California, but a wolf still seemed like the animal that attacked him.

The next day he finds Scott and starts talking to his friend about the events of last night. And Scott, as Scott, looks at Stiles with mostly confusion, but he is worried about his friend and what may have happened to him. During English Stiles picks up on a phone ringing, but it’s nowhere in the classroom, instead it’s the phone of a new transfer student. And Stiles stops listening right there because that’s incredibly weird. So instead of listening in on that conversation Stiles ponders the why of how he could possibly hear that. None of the classroom windows are open. It made absolutely no sense. So he spends the rest of the class trying to figure out what’s wrong. (Meanwhile Scott starts falling in love with Allison.)

During lacrosse practice Scott is chosen to go out onto the field, while Stiles opts for the bench. And then the whistle blows and suddenly Stiles is in excruciating pain for the few seconds it lasted. The moment its over Stiles is incredibly dazed and incredibly out of it for a good few minutes. Eventually his head clears enough that he’s watching Scott fail spectacularly out on the field.

Later Stiles convinces Scott to go into the woods with him to look for the dead body. They don’t find the body, but they do come across Derek Hale. Stiles relays Derek’s story to Scott, since Scott managed to forget the huge house fire that happened six years ago.

Eventually Stiles goes back home and starts looking up what could possibly be wrong with him. After a lot of stumbling through overly sensitive hearing and finding way too many dissatisfying links, he starts looking up wolves and wolf bites. That search eventually leads him to: Werewolves. Said search leads him to sit his ass down into the middle of the woods and really hope he’s wrong about this werewolf thing.

Unfortunately for him, he’s quickly proven right. Claws grow from his fingernails and he can feel the fangs forming from his blunt human teeth. He doesn’t panic too badly, he had an idea this would happen, but man did he ever wish he wasn’t right.

This is where Derek finds him and informs him that: Stiles is now a werewolf, the bite is a gift, and they’re brothers now. Stiles looks up at Derek like he’s crazy, but he did get bitten by a wolf-like creature. They have a very short conversation of how the hell Derek knows these things before hunters show up and attempt to blind them. Of course, Stiles listens to what Derek says so he covers his eyes and then they manage to run away. He spends the rest of the night with Derek, since there’s no better person to quiz on werewolf issues than somebody who’s been one their whole life. He also asks about the woman in the woods and learns that was Derek’s sister.

The day after Stiles realizes that the guy who shot at him in the woods is actually Allison’s father. Talk about awkward.

A couple days later and he ends up cornering Scott into a wall, he’s a new werewolf so he’s not a hundred percent control of himself yet. He’s stopped when Scott sprays him with a fire extinguisher. Scott decides that getting murdered is nowhere on his to-do list and decides that they should maintain a long distance friendship. Stiles accepts it because he does not want his best friends blood on his claws, plus Scott is really in love with Allison and distancing is probably best for both of them.

The biggest shift in Stiles’ history at this is growing steadily apart from Scott and getting closer to Derek. At least all the way up until prom. By then Stiles would know why Derek took his phone, he's track down Derek- so Lydia had to go in a group with Scott & Allison. Eventually Lydia detaches herself from that group and goes looking for Jackson, where she runs into Peter. Since Scott's still a good person he'll notice when Lydia's just nowhere to be found and he goes looking for her. So Scott comes across Peter and gets dragged along to help Peter find his two Betas.

This doesn't go very well, since Stiles' stuff is actually well locked and they really haven't been close recently. Since Scott isn't helpful at all in this endeavor he is killed by Peter, slashed across the throat.

This eventually leads to Derek killing Peter along with Stiles learning that Scott is dead, and Lydia was mauled.

Personality:
“I’m fine.”

Loyalty, wit, resourcefulness and bravery are some of Stiles' defining features. The bite didn’t change Stiles’ basic personality. He’s unfalteringly loyal to his friends, he’s sarcastic and talkative when it’s really a terrible idea, and brave when it comes to keeping his friends safe.

Loyalty is one of his greatest strengths. He's loyal even when it would be much easier to just leave somebody for the not so metaphorical wolves. If he cares about somebody he will do everything in his power to keep them safe. Everything his power isn't always a good thing, however. He will lie, manipulate and dodge questions if he thinks it's for the sake of helping people. But if Stiles is close to the person he is lying to, he does feel bad about it. On the other hand, if it comes to people he's not at all close to, he will do all things listed without remorse.

Stiles has very few good friends. Actually, Stiles only had one friend before he was bitten, and that friend was Scott Mccall. But because Stiles was still a new werewolf and he couldn't keep in control of himself he came very close to killing Scott once. That event distanced the two of them. But Stiles was still deeply affected when he learned that Scott died by Peter Hale's claw. Yet, despite the fact that the two of them had been growing steadily apart, Stiles took it very hard. When Stiles has given his friendship, trust and loyalty to someone nothing will ever shake those feelings.

His wit tends to manifest in sarcasm and biting words. He's not afraid to insult his friends, peers or enemies, even when he probably shouldn't. Stiles is also very likely to use his sarcasm as a method of defense. Technically he has better weapons these days, but old habits die hard and it's not like he can whip out the fangs and claws for all situations.

He is also highly resourceful. He will use whatever he can to give himself an advantage. This extends to both information and situations. If there's information that Stiles doesn't know that he needs to know? He will look up all of the potentially relevant information and store it away for later access. He also just enjoys collecting odd bits of knowledge, such as the entire history of the male circumcision. That's not to say that all is knowledge is textually based.

Stiles knows how to get into things and if he doesn't know a way, he knows people who do. Of course, some of these people don't know that Stiles has that kind of information on them. Stiles might know people's criminal records and interests, but he never brings it up until he needs that person's expertise. He's manipulative when he thinks it's for the greater good.

But as manipulative as Stiles is, he's not a good liar. In fact, every time he tries to lie, people can tell he's lying. So he's not at all convincing when he's trying to lie his way out of a situation. That doesn't stop him from trying though. So the way that Stiles manages to get around telling the truth is by derailing the inquiry into something else. He has a tendency to sidestep telling the truth.

He's also very brave. He walks out into the middle of the woods alone to try and find the missing half of a body. When he's bitten by a mysterious creature he goes right back into those woods to try and piece together exactly what happened.

Those are all things he shares in common with his canon counterpart. The difference here is the amount of guilt that Stiles caries on his shoulders. He thinks that his mother's death is his fault, he think's he's slowly going to end up ruining his father's life, and he truly believes that Scott's death is his fault. But as much guilt as he's carrying, he won't talk about it. Not unless somebody sat him down and forced him to talk. And even then it's like pulling teeth. He would rather talk about everybody else than talk about his own problems.

Powers:
He is a werewolf, and all werewolves in Teen Wolf have:
-Enhanced strength, speed and reflexes

-Transformation: As a werewolf he can actually change into a werewolf. Said form means claws, fangs, more facial hair and glowing eyes. He can also transform partially so it’s just the eyes or just the claws.

-Enhanced hearing and smell: Painfully good hearing and sense of smell. He can use scents to track people, and he can use his hearing to listen in on conversations a hallway away from him. He has a deep dislike of whistles.

-Living lie detector: Enhanced hearing and smell means he can listen in on the beating of people's hearts and it means he can tell when people are lying or nervous.

-Enhanced healing: Werewolves heal faster than humans do, a cut on a human takes a good few days to heal, while on a werewolf it only takes a few seconds to hours depending on the severity of the injury.

-Pain leech: The ability to take away pain from people and animals.

[He looks miserably at the mirror for a good ten minutes. A mirror. Seriously? He has to talk and write into a mirror? They really wanted him to help out here? The day after Scott had been pronounced dead and Lydia had been mauled? How helpful did they expect him to be like this.

He’s picked up on the smell of Derek. Not his Derek, but still an Alpha.

There’s a technology filter to Derek after all the mulling he’s been doing- it’s written.]

Hey. We need to talk. Pick a place and I’ll be there.

I don’t trust the mirror system. Especially not when I could just talk to you face to face.

Meme thread. Another meme thread.

Any Concerns:
Is there a moon cycle? Because Stiles is going to be very agitated around the full moon and should probably be locked up.

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: The Helmsman / The Ψiioniic
Series: MSPA: Homestuck
Canon Point: After being enlisted as the Helmsman for about one human century, but before the Summoner is born.
History Link: Ancestors wikia; Story briefly described in canon pages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; Theory on how helmsmen are made; Trolls in general

Personality: Like many things about him, these come in twos.

The Ψiioniic:

(pronounced "psionic") was his title, and was what he was known by. "Psii", for short. His real name -- Mituna Captor -- is, like all hatchnames, very personal and mostly secret. He has the sign of Gemini, showcased in his affinity for duality. He has two pairs of horns, and his eyes are bifurcated into red and blue. When typing he replaces "s" with "2", doubles all "i"s, and writes "to" and "too" as "two". Bilateral symmetry is cool, but also mismatched things, as long as there's two of them.

Trolls of his caste, especially those with his powers, are typically made slaves to serve the upper classes. His possession of psionics would have been apparent, and he would have been forced into service as soon as possible. It is not known what kind of position he served -- most likely tossing interstellar spaceships around. Without a strong motivation or any kind of plan, he would have wallowed in slavery forever. Either that, or get culled (killed) for some arbitrary reason. This tends to make a guy gloomy.

The Signless's "heretical" words of peace and equality inspired him to free himself. He was clearly not as tightly secured as his most recent post, perhaps because he masked some of his power. He was tired of taking highblood shit, and chose to risk a fate worse than death for the cause. He became a strong devotee, and one of his most trusted friends throughout the rebellion.

Though troll romance can get complicated, Signless-mun, Disciple-mun, and i headcanonly agree that our characters were something like a hippie three-some. Signless transcended the quadrants with Disciple in canon. The quadrant system is comparable to human laws and traditions on long-term relationships. It's worth noting that Signless's pre-Scratch self took a vow of celibacy, directly in opposition to the quadrants. His descendant Karkat studied troll romance extensively, but failed at it too, berating himself for wanting a certain troll in every quadrant like a desperate fool. There's reason to believe that Signless's closest followers cared as much for the quadrant system as they did the hemospectrum -- which is to say, not at all.

Psii may play the snarky cool guy, trading quips with his friends, but he throws himself into danger to protect them. Woe unto the one who harms someone he cares about. He looks to the Signless for leadership, but also serves in an advisory capacity. Breaking out of enslavement gave him experience and enough maturity to at least curb some of his more serious mood swings.

The troll Ancestors share personality traits with their Descendants, so he definitely has some of Sollux Captor's. He sets very high standards for himself, and beats himself up over things for no very good reason. His bipolar mood swings oscillate from thinking he's the most badass troll ever, to thinking he's not worth a pile of hoofbeast fecal matter. He usually bounces back with an overly productive coding binge, which usually benefits everyone. He's freaking boss at coding.

He needs friends, whether he's constantly pestering them or shutting himself away in one of his moods. He can be sassy or abrasive sometimes, but he means well, and will come back with an apology for being a pathetic asshole so please take him back. He's not the leader type, but wins arguements with logic and/or snarky comments. When he's feeling down, he thinks no one really likes him, when in fact he's a pretty cool guy, a loyal friend, and has all the bitches. All of them. Seriously, sometimes he wonders why they put up with him, but that makes for great pillow talk.

The Helmsman:

After the rebellion failed and the Signless was killed, he was forced to serve as the Helmsman for Her Imperious Condescension's battleship. This required taking control of his mind. Psychic control only works on him about half the time, so a more extreme method was taken. He was grafted to biowires, which flicked the on/off switches in his psychically-gifted brain, as well as regulated his body's processes. The massive amounts of helmsman programming altered his brain's perception of reality. His personality and sense of self sunk into the deepest waters of his subconscious.

Now armed with the fastest ship in her fleet by far, the Empress personally expanded her empire to the edges of their galaxy. She became enamored of him and his power, and extended his life by thousands of years. No doubt she kept him by her side this long by a combination of computer programming and her own psychic power. The hold she had on him was all-consuming, and only ended when he died in the Vast Glub. She was not only his owner and slavedriver, but his keeper and only companion. As far as we know, she did not deign to extend the life of anyone else. Whether he willed it or not, he was attached to her as much as the ship. Over the years, his body and mind grew more and more dependent on both her and the ship.

Because of the extreme measures taken to control his mind, he probably saw himself as the ship's artificial intelligence, instead of an actual troll. Talking to the Helmsman is a lot like talking to a computer. His voice sounds about as emotional as a car GPS navigator. He refers to himself in the third person as the "Battleship Condescension Helmsman System". He promptly executes orders from anyone his programming deems worthy: those with proper "administrative privelages" like the Condesce, members of her crew, and her trusted allies. She and her ship's secrets are closely guarded and encrypted; his programming states that his own existence is tied to these. Why would a computer sabotage itself, anyway?

The ghost in the machine has a different opinion. The Ψiioniic may not be entirely aware of the day-to-day activities of his enslavement, but he knows he wants out. In some small, forgotten place in his brain, he attempts to reverse the programming built into the Helmsman. He is a hacker, after all. However, even without the influence of Her Condescension, he has the Helmsman's programming to deal with.

The Helmsman tries his best to suppress these "errors" and "glitches" in the interest of being productive, as well as self-preservation. (He's no good to the Condesce dead.) He has become his own worst enemy. The Helmsman makes this doubly hard with routine "system maintenance". It's all Psii can do to hide his memories of the Signless elsewhere before they are repressed beyond recovery, let alone try to contact the outside. Those memories are all Psii has left. If the Signless's life story is lost, no one will receive his message. The Helmsman may come to suspect he is hopelessly infected with a virus, which would set off a series of sad microexpressions flitting across his usually impassive face.

The Helmsman will be combination polite computer and cagey traumatized survivor upon arrival. With the help of friends, he may recover some of his personality again.

Powers/skills:
Psionic mage of unequaled telekinetic ability, able to hurl a spaceship across thousands of light years in a matter of hours, though this not without extreme physical duress
Normal telekinetic activities include... well, everything. His body has atrophied, he relies on his powers to sit up even.
susceptible to psychic mind control about half the time.
(and if he's anything like his descendant, Sollux:)
Master programmer and hacker
Expert in Apiculture Networks run by Alternian bees,
which he is able to make sleep with a snap of his fingers.
Can understand "beenary code" of said bees.

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Stiles Stilinski (OU)
Series: Teen Wolf
Canon Point: Post Season 2
History Link: Link.

Personality:

It’s easy to look at Stiles Stilinski and see an average teenager, all awkward limbs that don’t know where they want to be half the time, lame jokes, ADHD, and inexplicable big time crushes on the hardest-to-get-for-his-social-status girl in school. And for the most part, anyone saying that would be one hundred percent correct. In a town rapidly getting full of supernatural creatures and creature hunters, Stiles is the only person who’s essentially “normal,” who isn’t trained to use a bow and arrow or to run around in the woods at night to hone his senses, and that’s perfectly fine with him, thanks. Sure, it’d be pretty nice to have super healing and inhuman strength, or even just a better way of defending himself than running and hiding, but because of his sheer humanity, Stiles is able to bring something to the table that no one else can.

Stiles is very brave, constantly running (or in some cases, quite literally diving) into situations where he may always be outmatched, but he's there to watch someone's back in the heat of a fight as best he can. Best of all, he's a smart kid, and since he doesn’t have claws or weapons, his cleverness is his greatest asset. He’s the first person to think outside of the box, to come up with that elusive third option and get things done. The nice side of his Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Adderall prescription is that it gives him plenty of energy to spend on researching, trying to find answers for those tough supernatural questions, and wound up being ironically more knowledgeable about werewolves than his newly turned werewolf best friend. And while he might find it hard to concentrate in class (something he's constantly belittled for by peers and teachers alike), he's a gifted reader and tends to keep it all tucked inside his head, setting him up with surprisingly good grades and problem solving ammunition. The only unfortunate(?) side effect of his wit is his particular brand of sarcasm, which he in turn is quick to use as a nice, easy defense mechanism. Has gone pretty well for him so far. Mostly.

Stiles is also smart enough to be see the whole picture and arrange his priorities appropriately. Whereas his friend Scott will forsake friend, safety, and wolflihood (or what Stiles likes to call wolf lessons) so that he can be with his girlfriend, and might (will) complain when it's not possible, Stiles is the guy who puts everything on the back burner if it means the safety of friends and family, if it means finding (if semi-by-accident) the culprit behind the murders all over town, if it means peace of mind for everyone involved. Even if what he’s missing out on might be something important to Stiles, like his first lacrosse game that he’s actually supposed to play and his dad is there for, or finally getting a chance to lend an ear to the girl of his dreams, he’s the one who understands the gravity of the situation at large, will get his priorities straight, and make whatever things need to happen happen, one way or the other.

And he'll do it without (much) complaint, because Stiles is thrilled for the chance to help out a friend, particularly his best friend (and by extension, his best friend’s girlfriend). If there's one word to describe Stiles Stilinski-- besides hyperactive, the first word that ought to come to mind is loyal. His friends may throw him under the bus, ignore his ideas or warnings, or take advantage of his friendly nature completely and he'd grin and bear it all. Stiles genuinely wants to help his friends, whether or not they return the favor, and is on just the right shade of loneliness where he finds it easier to forgive and forget than entertain the idea of losing a friend. Stiles also has a nice habit of going above and beyond to help people – typically only friends, but he has been known to put himself on the line for the sake of someone he’s stated his distaste for, and he may do this once, maybe twice, or maybe so often that really, he needs to stop trying to convince people he dislikes them. Outside of Scott (and later, Scott’s joint pack with Derek), Stiles doesn't really have anyone to fall back on, and the only person he knows he can count on immediately is his own father - which is perfectly fine with him, by the way, he loves his father absolutely, but while they have a very good and honest (mostly, he isn't sure how to breach the werewolf topic to his father yet, and while it’s to protect him, Stiles is nothing if not a liar, guilty as he may feel) relationship, things are occasionally still somewhat strained between the two of them after the death of Stiles' mother.

It’s likely because neither of them are willing to talk about it – to the point where Stiles can tell just how drunk his father is if he brings her up. And it kills Stiles, it absolutely does, but he can’t speak about it either. Not often, just once or twice in passing since Scott became a werewolf. And he's perfectly fine with not dealing with how much it still affects him - he said quite clearly himself that he prefers to ignore a problem until eventually it goes away. In fact, if Stiles can redirect a conversation's focus off of him, he'll absolutely take the chance. And just looking at him, just seeing him in school or around Beacon Hills would lead anyone to believe that he has the angst capability of a banana. It's true most of the time, Stiles is a very classic case of comedic relief, the first to crack a joke in the middle of a tense situation, if only because he literally has no other method of handling them. He's no good with silences, and tends to constantly chatter away about anything and everything if it means keeping himself occupied. That may or may not be extremely annoying to certain people, but they can take it up with his ADHD.

The downside to his energy level is that Stiles is not what anyone would consider patient. At all. In the least. And that’s not just impatience in terms of time management, but with people as well. To his friends, he’ll be the most loyal person in the world, but if someone doesn’t make it onto Stiles’ exclusive list of priorities? Stiles can be downright aggressive, particularly when he’s at his wit’s end, snapping and showing absolutely zero empathy if it doesn’t convenience him. And there are definitely times where he’ll warm up to someone just to get something out of them; he’s a practiced liar, and fairly manipulative, seeming to know exactly what buttons (or police records) to push to get people to do what he wants. He sees the wrong in lying, knows what the consequences may be, but he is firmly of the idea that the end justifies the means. This isn’t to say he would ever just set out to be horrible to someone who, in his mind, doesn’t deserve it; he’s generally pretty friendly, but he has no qualms at all about pushing his morals aside to get what he needs to get done.

Stiles is also an incredibly awkward person. He doesn't always say the right thing - though he'll get there eventually, give him a couple of seconds to defrag his brain. In a word, he's uncoordinated, all broad silly gestures and tripping up over his own two feet. All in all, Stiles is a big old goofball who doesn't mind playing second fiddle to girlfriends and monsters alike, who warms the bench but spends the entire time running ideas through his head as to how to make his friends' lives easier, and will absolutely do anything in his power to be there for them when they need it. While he’s not the most honest – and often not the most sympathetic – person in the world, being a bullshitter himself makes him more than capable of seeing beyond other peoples' bullshit, to see them for who they really can b, if he’s willing to give them a chance to prove it.

He may just be a bench warmer on the lacrosse field, but at the end of the day, when it comes to anything else, Stiles is the best person in the world to have fighting on your side.

Powers: Zippo, nothing, nada. Stiles is painfully human, something he’s entirely too aware of in a world of hunters and monsters.

Character Name: Fran
Series: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Canon Point: post-anime
History Link: Link.

AU: Due to the fact that I first started playing this Fran before his younger self and past were revealed in canon his childhood isn't the same as his canon counterpart. The AU part of his background is covered in a dream here

Game Import: Fran actually has three games behind him due to first being an import from Kanna to Vox, and then an import from Vox to CoK. I'll explain a little of each in order and how it affected him.

In a world called Kannagara, Gods would bring in people to serve them. A large issues most of the new arrivals had was the tendency of the devices to broadcast their dreams without their consent. Fran was of little exception to this annoyance. Most of his dreams didn't bother him, even if others saw them and found them unsettling, but a few personal things were shown that he wasn't too pleased with at the time. He made many enemies just by being himself, one friend, and one mildly abusive lover. Though none of it had that much of an impact on him in the long run, only a very slight one. The partner he was with (they would never go as far as to call it "dating" despite how awkwardly close they were at times outside the bedroom) he never meant to fall for, but Fran knew he did anyways. When said partner left, Fran knew he only had himself to blame for being hurt over it. He didn't show any of this outwardly, keeping his mask up at all times. The only one he had even dropped it for was said love interest, and that was really just to fuck with him because the other wanted to break that mask more than anything. Wonderful start to a relationship that was doomed to fail. Mostly though, Fran just spent his time trolling people on the network for shits and giggles. And sitting back and watching Mukuro's various bullshit stunts which sometimes involved using illusions to set rabbits on fire and kidnapping certain yellow birds out of spite.

Black Vox Systems was an artificial environment ran by robots who expected the subjects to have sex frequently or face some type of punishment, some of which unique to them. Fran wasn't bothered by the idea of being forced to have sex, he just shrugged it off like he does most things. Only reason he bothered resisting was just out of curiosity of what would happen if he did. Being covered in frogs though? Nope. Getting laid was a must. Just as in Kanna, he spent most of his time trolling people and generally making himself an annoyance. He did manage to make one friend though, which just happened to be Orphaner Dualscar. Probably because when they first met, Dualscar was undergoing his own punishment in the form of being transformed physically and mentally into that of a small child. Though even when he turned back to normal, he was still on good terms with Fran and was even the first to offer casual sex when Fran made it known he felt it was finally necessary.

City of Keys was his most recent destination, though he wasn't there for very long. He met Lyn, a troll he had seen briefly on the network around Vox, when they both tried to pickpocket each other at the same time in the slums. They hit it off immediately, setting up their own little base in the slums and using illusions to protect it. He was mildly put off by Lyn's demand that they should never kill anyone they steal from, but he didn't care enough to argue the point much other than stating that he didn't see any point in the first place. Fran was more of an observer in this game, sticking to Lyn for the most part as he wasn't there long enough to actually make much of an impact on others. Despite himself and knowing it was stupid, he let himself make a friend out of him while they watched each others backs.

Personality: The most obvious thing about Fran is his apathy. No matter what's happening to him or around him, he almost always has the same blank and uncaring look. Hardly anything phases him no matter what's going on. Even as someone's stabbing knives into his back or stabbing him with a trident, he barely even acknowledges it aside from slight complaining and asking them to please stop. Which is another part of his personality actually, he's obviously very self-disciplined. He can control his emotions better than anyone known in his canon. Pain, fear, distress, happiness, depression... None of it is able to break through the cold mask he has made for himself.

His apathetic mask, however, is highly contradictory to the rest of his personality. Fran has been known to be very sarcastic and mocking to anyone and everyone, even his own partners, master and allies. No matter what is said Fran usually has something to say about it or at the very least, some way to make fun of the person. With Belphegor Fran constantly refers to him as a Fallen Prince, knowing that his princely status is the one thing Bel prides the most. He also insults and breaks Bel's knives knowing that it would also get to him. Even his Master who he obviously respects to some degree isn't spared by Fran's nature. The boy comments on Mukuro's habit of always wanting to take credit even for things he didn't do and more often than not makes fun of him for his hairstyle looking like a pineapple. In both cases not even bodily harm gets him to stop his mocking, which of course they both stab him every time he does such. And just like always, he just gives a sarcastic complaint and even throws in some crocodile tears now and then.

Fran is also a highly playful individual. He loves games and pranks more than anything. Once again, total contradiction to his emotionless demeanor. When it comes to his enemies he prefers to play with them more than cause actual physical harm. He's also more known to use his illusions to fake people's deaths in order to run away. As such, he seems oddly fascinated with the blood and gore that comes along with it. Claiming that he has to make sure it looks as real as possible and is always quite pleased with his work; particularly the times when he makes it look like Belphegor died. That's pretty much his main goal to become an illusionist was being able to fool people and mess with them for his own amusement. He's very proud of his skills and makes a complaint when Mukuro tries to claim the glory for himself.

That's another thing about Fran. Even though he's a member of the mafia and the student of a man who wants to destroy the world, he seems to have a bit of a hero complex. Not in the sense that he goes out of his way to help people, but he seems to like the idea of being a hero. It goes as far as him explaining to Belphegor that in order to open his box weapon he had an elaborate hero pose that had to be done but because of the frog hat he's forced to wear he was unable to raise his hands above his head to complete his motions like he wanted to. Though despite all his power, he tends to be rather lazy as well at times. He'd much rather prefer pushing off his workload on someone else if at all possible so he won't have to lift a finger himself.

One other thing about him that's not quite as obvious as the rest is the fact that despite everything, Fran is loyal and mostly obedient. Whenever he's given an order from someone he's working for, he always follows through. Even when Squalo commanded that he had to go out on a search with Belphegor he did little more than give a few complaints and insults before following through anyways. Fran also risked a lot by using his illusions to trick Vindice, the impenetrable prison where the most dangerous criminals to the mafia are held, into releasing his Master. By actually pulling it off and getting Mukuro free, it's said that Fran is one of the only three illusionists in the world powerful enough to be able to pull something like that off.

Powers:
x Illusions: Fran is one of the three most powerful illusionists in the world
x Varia Mist Ring: A strong Mist class ring with the symbol of Varia on it
x Hell Ring: The 666 Hell Ring, the "Unlucky Ring", brings 666 times of misfortune and then one time of fortune.
x Bel Box Weapon: Most useless of his abilities. A Bel-in-the-box that emits a small shield of Mist Flames
x A genius. It's implied at least that he's just as much of a prodigy as Bel, it's just hard to tell with the way he acts.

Other Details: Fran has two bunnies he got from Kannagara that followed him to both Vox and CoK, he has a tendency to hold them in his lap whenever he's thinking. Assuming it would be okay for them to come with him this time as well, just let me know if otherwise.

AU/OC History: SPOILERS FOR HEMOSTUCK

As Hemostuck basically takes all of Alternian society and changes it from the ground up, this is going to get long. In Homestuck, aliens known as trolls live on Alternia, and are ranked on a hemospectrum according to blood color. Purple-blooded sea trolls are at the top of the heap, ruled by a fuschia-blooded empress, with long natural lives and a greater capacity for violence; from there blood colors run down the visible spectrum of light to dark red, which is the lowest color possible. "Rustbloods" are short-lived and generally calmer than those higher on the spectrum, but they are more numerous than highbloods and tend to have a lot of supernatural abilities. They also have four kinds of romance. It's very complicated, but it basically boils down to a platonic and sexual kind of romance each for both love and hate. Karkat, with his cherry-red blood like a human's, is so low he's off the spectrum entirely, a mutant slated for culling; his ancestor the Sufferer led a failed revolution against the current system and was tortured and killed for it.

Hemostuck's Alternia exists in a world without SBurb/SGrub, where trolls originally lived in tribal nation-states. Eventually the planet was united by a war between seadwellers and landdwellers; the Summoner turned the sea creatures on Dualscar the Genocide and forced his people's surrender, eventually leading to the current imperial system, which set up a hemospectrum that is the opposite of canon: red at the top and purple at the bottom, with fuschia as an outlier whose existence is not even thought possible. The four main human kids from Homestuck appear instead as four of the five Godheads in troll religion, with the God of Pulse and Haze as the fifth. Their blood is cherry-red, and lusii - animal custodians that raise trolls - with that color of blood often pick out trolls to raise who will go on to perform heroic deeds or have exemplary careers. However, cherry-red blood in trolls is still an aberration, putting Karkat in a quite awkward position.

We'll come back to that in a moment. On Alternia, the gods are visible in many of the main characters' lives as they grow up. (An important note - trolls in Hemostuck are born in a mass hatching every ten sweeps, a sweep being equivalent to about 2.17 years, and the children grow until their first mating season at their tenth sweep, after which they go off-planet to live as adults working and conquering for the Alternian Empire. This is referred to as Ascension.) Devotees to a Godhead usually court that god's favor by offering prayer and meditation and sometimes, ritual sacrifice. The gods will not always accept a dedicated death, but if (and only if) the death is done in the proper manner they often will; in special cases they'll even reciprocate the dedication with a raising, by which I mean zombies are part of Alternian religion. Seadwellers generally only accept the two female Godheads of the quinity as canonical, worshiping them as the Sisters instead. Many indigobloods do not worship the quinity at all, but instead their Mirthful Messiahs that represent chaos, destruction and anarchy, but this sect is considered a heretical cult, and devotion to the Messiahs is severely punished. In the current cohort of troll children many of the most politically prominent trolls and their inclade, or romantically partnered “family,” are favorites of the Godheads, which in turn has encouraged a wave of zealotry and religious devotion among the rest of the cohort that has the adults of the imperial machine very, very concerned. Such devotion has not been common for a long time and is considered dangerous to the war machine necessary to an expansionist empire like Alternia.

Obviously, then, this puts Karkat in a risky position if news of his mutation gets out to the adults running the empire; another risk, in a cohort so dedicated to religion, is that people would regard him as an object of worship rather than just another person, which he very much does not want. Adding stress to the mix is that Karkat’s fondest wish, just like in canon, is to be a Threshecutioner - in Hemostuck, this is a branch of social enforcement whose job it is to ease relations between trolls and occasionally bring down the undead or particularly troublesome Alternian fauna. Threshecutioner training requires blood tests and training in space. The way Karkat and his quadrantmates Sollux and Terezi found around this was to mix Sollux’s yellow and Terezi’s teal into lime, and then pipe that mixture into Karkat, along with all manner of drugs to keep his body from rejecting it; unfortunately, this also means Karkat is constantly ill, and as time goes on there is less and less physical exertion he can take.

Karkat finishes his training and returns planetside, only to find things rapidly changing. Sollux has taken over as Master of Information and found himself a kismesis in one Eridan Ampora, a seatroll with an abiding passion for fashion and a rather dangerous level of favor from the God of Light and Rain. Eridan rapidly develops a crush on Karkat, complicating the situation further even as his relationship with his moirail Sollux sours and his matespritship with Terezi becomes a clusterfuck of red and black quadrant-flipping. Still, Karkat becomes abidingly fond of Eridan even as he becomes more and more isolated from his family.

Eventually the situation comes to a head when Karkat embarks on a mission to make the harbor safer for seadwellers with Eridan, and ends up spending a week at his hive and meeting his family. His meeting with Eridan’s moirail’s matesprit, Gamzee, is pretty much pale love at first sight, and eventually Karkat is forced to own up to the fact that his moirallegiance with Sollux simply won’t work anymore. Eridan, meanwhile, makes a play for Karkat’s red quadrant at last, culminating in a kiss the night before Karkat leaves again. Unfortunately the stress of this and the lack of medical attention while he’s been at sea provokes a heart attack, forcing Gamzee and Eridan to leave for the mainland right away.

When Karkat comes to things only get more complicated. Sollux and Terezi have hooked up in the pale quadrant in his absence, but Sollux is unwilling to give Karkat up - he and Gamzee get along like a house on fire and his relationship with Eridan is extremely strained since they’re now in competition for Karkat’s red quadrant, with Terezi finally making their flip to blackrom official. Things finally build to a head when Karkat finally goes to sort things out with Sollux, and take a turn for the sinister as it’s revealed that Karkat’s erratic behavior, general assholery in relation to Alternian social order, obstinate insistence on atheism despite all proof that he’s beloved of the gods, and isolation from the people he loves is due to being controlled by a worm put in his brain when he was in Threshecutioner training, as a way to check the sudden liberal leanings of much of the ruling class in his cohort. Karkat snaps after this revelation and gives Sollux a concussion, preparing to deliver him and Terezi to the adult officials for treason and trying to execute Eridan as a “merciful” death. Still, the three of them manage to snap him out of the mental coercion of the brainworm long enough to make him realize how messed up things are and ask Sollux to get it out of him.

That done, Karkat finally returns to the fold of his clade and manages to sort things out for good with all parties. He agrees at last that the system cannot hold as it is and is in desperate need of reform, and owns up to his own prophetic visions concerning the gods. And, in a surprisingly happy twist, he ends up taking on both Eridan and Sollux in his red quadrant, though they all end up agreeing that one of the two will have to be kept a secret - Eridan insists it be him. For once, it seems, Karkat Vantas has a life that doesn’t entirely suck.

Canon Point: Shortly before capture

AU/OC History:

Game Import:

Personality:
Like the vast majority of ancestors in Homestuck, the Dolorosa has no actual scenes within the comic. As of the latest updates, she is only explicitly seen in one panel while Doc Scratch tells the history of Alternia and, by extension, the ancestors of the twelve main trolls. That does not mean we cannot get a firm grasp on her personality, however. It simply means that we must look deeper and make well educated guesses assisted by a few Words of God. There are three things we can use within the comic itself to deduce things of Dolorosa's personality: her descendent Kanaya Maryam, her Pre-Scrach self Porrim Maryam, and her actions on Alternia.

To make a very long story instead very short: a jadeblood culturally trapped to care for the Mother Grub ends up finding a strange young grub with mutated blood and abandons her duties within the caverns to raise the grub. (An act practically unheard of in 'letting wild animals raise our young sounds groovy' Alternia.) She raises the grub on her own despite the violence encasing Alternia both culturally and naturally. Eventually, she joins her adopted son in starting a rebellion so badass, the Condesce forces their names to be written out of history. The Dolorosa is sold into slavery, and some fans believe that she eventually ends in the end of one Marquise Spinneret Mindfang, only to be assassinated by Orphaner Dualscar.

That alone gives a vast amount of information on its own! It is further reinforced by the personality and actions of her descendent Kanaya. As Andrew Hussie states, the troll kids would have grown up to be extremely similar to their ancestors meaning there is a connection in personality.

All three Maryams show a tendency to kindness, although perhaps they come off as a bit different. Porrim acknowledges that her relation to Kankri (Pre-Scratch Signless) isn't so surprising and seems to have a friendly, encouraging relationship to most of the others. Kanaya was also one of the more level-headed amongst the troll kids, considered a good auspitice and friend to both Karkat Vantas and Eridan Ampora (two boys whose personalities can make it difficult to approach on a friendly level.) It isn't surprising, then, that Dolorosa is very kind indeed. Alternia is a harsh place where such shameless kindness as taking in a grub with no lusus is a truly peculiar thing considering how hard it is to keep one's own self alive. Just the act of keeping such a horrible mutantblood alive would be grounds for severe punishment. Yet she doesn't hesitate. She does what, from a human point of view, is the right thing.

Kindness tends to get a troll killed in Alternia, however. At least, that's what kindness alone does. What most of fandom seems to forget is that Dolorosa is not simply a Virgin Mother/Virgin Mary comparison. She is a troll who survived an untold number of sweeps escaping from and fighting against all the horrible beasts Alternia had to offer. After all, a jadeblood away from the Brooding Caverns is suspicious enough. A jadeblood caring for a lone grub? Far too much attention than the Dolorosa would want and something that would end their tale early. Dolorosa would be fighting not only for her life night after night, but also the life of someone who was too helpless to assist her in any way.

Kindness wouldn't get Dolorosa very far. But cunning and combat skills? If Dolorosa didn't start off with those skills, than she would no doubt have had to quickly learn them so she could keep on going. When the First Rebellion eventually started, I wouldn't doubt that Dolorosa would be a key player in it, especially given her relation to Signless.

In canon, Kanaya kicks a subjugglator-to-be right in the nads and off a cliff, and then saws a seadweller 'prince' right in half. Her ancestor did pretty much the exact same thing, only on a much grander and slightly metaphorical scale. Wouldn't it be a kick to the nads for such a restricted bloodcolor thought to be one of the more submissive type of trolls in existence to suddenly rise up and help start such a large-scale rebellion?

Although she probably did quite a lot of literal highblood nad kicking. Comes in the job description of BAMF MILF.

One last thing that should be mentioned is Porrim's mention of the restrictions that jadebloods are put under even on Beforus. Obviously jadebloods are still in that very same position on Alternia. Like her Pre-Scratch self, would Dolorosa have longed for more independence and to see the world outside of the Brooding Caverns once more? Would that have factored into her decision to abandon them so she could take care of Signless? I am inclined to believe so.

In short, the Dolorosa is an amazing kind of troll. She is strong in both intellect and combat-wise, filled with a heart of bravery to boot. More importantly, however, she is a truly kind individual who would give up her life of safety to raise a grub that would never have made it otherwise.

Powers:
- The only notable ability Dolorosa possesses is her ability to resist the intense rays of the Alternian sun. By this logic, she is rather durable against strong heat and radiation.
- This has not been shown directly in canon, however it is quite possible that Dolorosa possesses the ability to become a rainbow drinker seeing that both her descendent Kanaya Maryam becomes one and her Pre-Scratch self Porrim Maryam both became rainbow drinkers. This means she would have the following abilities: able to gain sustenance from blood and able to survive near fatal injuries (Kanaya ran around with a hole in her stomach. It is unknown if rainbow drinkers are any faster/stronger than an average troll, but considering they are the Alternian equivalent of vampires, it wouldn't be unusual.

Other Details:
1. Considering I am taking her from the middle of the war, Dolorosa's sylladex will be filled with quite a few things. Most of it are supplies (like camping, medical, and fashion items), along with a few basic necessities.
2. While Porrim has made her quirk obvious with recent updates, I have decided not to have Dolorosa use the same kind of o+ symbol. It's not that I think Dolorosa doesn't care about the roles of women on Alternia, I simply think that with the change of setting and her own role in starting a rebellion that she has her mind in other places. It is still something she considers, it is simply not something big enough to manifest itself as a quirk. So, for the purposes of this RP (and until proven otherwise if somehow we get a speaking Dolorosa in canon), I will be having her use Kanaya's simple quirk.

SAMPLES
Like every day, Dolorosa begins her day the same as she usually does. She rises from her slumber, the remnants of dreams still haunting her in the back of her mind. There is a bath, to cleanse and wake herself properly, and then an hour spent in front of a mirror. Not only to brush her hair, quietly and smoothly over a hundred times. Not only to make sure her clothes flow and hang from her body perfectly.

Staring into the mirror, she gently runs clawed fingers down her arms and legs where various scars are carved into her skin, some faint and old from time.

Satisfied with the clear result, she steps outside, and wishes she could enjoy the sun on her face. It's her daily constitutional so she can enjoy this temporary freedom. All her life, she has been wrapped in the chains of the hemospectrum. Unable to go where she pleased just in case someone saw the jade to her eyes and didn't just dismiss it as simply green, questioned when she was not in the caverns with the Mother Grub, questioned the little grub she carried with her...

Here, she has chains of a different sort. At least it is a breath of fresh air, if nothing else, even if she is trapped in yet another cave.

All that, it's clockwork: wake up, bathe, make herself presentable, walk, check her device, contact the children... All of these things are done in the morning, when the sun would still be slow and lazy against the horizon. She returns to her room just as others are starting to rise. The clothes she had so carefully put on not long ago are taken off, and hung carefully in their proper place. She exchanges her finery for otherwise: a simple sleeveless shirt and pants that are cut off right beneath the knee. As she fidgets with her clothing noncommittally, she turns to the one thing that doesn't quite seem to fit amongst the fine clothing and books of her room.

A long makeshift punchingbag hanging from the ceiling.

She starts with a simple jab and enjoys, for a moment, the feel of leather against her knuckles, how it bends against her fist, and then she follows through with a side smash. The adrenaline pounds out from her heart and through her body. Each hit comes quicker and faster to her until there's only her heartbeat booming in her skull and leaving her lightless. It's a poor substitute for a proper spar that would truly keep her skills honed so she could protect her loved ones, but one must make do with what one has.

So lost in her rhythm, she doesn't realize the presence of another until the door is quietly clicking shut and she comes to a pause. Tucking her hair behind one ear, she lets her hands fall to her sides and turns to smile.

"My. You have caught me at a rather sloppy moment. Please make yourself comfortable and I'll set us up some tea, if you would care for it."

Any Concerns:

CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Nepeta Leijon
Series: Homestuck (AU)
Canon Point: Several hours after fleeing to the Veil, but before they discover the humans.
History Link: Canon history for Nepeta.

AU/OC History:

Nepeta's AU is a simple bloodswap, which means that the universe (for the most part) follows canon with the blood colors of all the trolls being shuffled around. In this case the trolls and their blood colors are as follows, from gray to tyrian:

Nepeta - Eridan - Sollux - Feferi - Aradia - Vriska - Karkat - Gamzee - Tavros - Terezi - Kanaya - Equius

Unlike canon, however, Nepeta isn't typing in gray to disguise cherry red mutant blood. She is in fact a second tyrian-blooded troll who managed to successfully navigate the trials of the brooding cave to reach where Gl'bgolyb was waiting.

Because Equius had also emerged unscathed a fight broke out which culminated in the collapse of the lusus' cave; this chaos allowed a heavily injured Nepeta to escape to the surface with her life. At this point her life would have ended if she hadn't been found by a low-blooded lusus who had recently lost his own troll. Emotionally bereft from the loss of his charge he took her under his care and nursed her back to health.

The rest of her life was mostly spent inside and in the company of her lusus, as the only thing standing between Nepeta and discovery was a hooded cape. She makes friends with other trolls her age online and ironically comes to be moirails with the same person responsible for her fugitive situation to begin with, although he's unaware of this.

Things proceed in a tensely stable fashion until her group of friends decide to play a game which had been set up by Feferi and Eridan with Sollux's help. Sgrub ends their world and sends them hurtling through a clusterfuck of epic proprotions in order to create a new one upon their victory - which they eventually achieve, defeating the Black King and preparing to enter their new universe as gods.

Unfortunately, events beyond their control have set an omnipotent demon on their trail; Jack Noir destroys the gateway to the new universe and forces the group to retreat into the Veil in an attempt to lose him and save their lives. The trolls are left with nothing to do but cruise the internet and wait for their impending doom.

Personality:

In many ways Nepeta is similar to her original universe counterpart - she's an upbeat and friendly girl, a strange thing for a troll to be. She cares deeply for her friends and would do anything to keep them safe, as they mean the world to her. Despite her unfortunate childhood she still maintains a very positive outlook on life, believing that everything is going to turn out for the best in the end.

She still has a passion for roleplay, as she considers her entire life on giant charade anyway, although Crabdad forbids her from dabbling in the more dangerous forms for fear of her spilling her blood and exposing herself. Unlike Greenpeta, however, she very rarely inserts roleplay dialogue into her daily conversations with others.

This habit stems from the fact that Graypeta is much more reserved than Greenpeta - her entire life has been spent in physical solitude, with the constant fear of being exposed to someone looming over her head. Although she loves her friends dearly, she is constantly worried about being unmasked in front of them because she honestly doesn't know how they would react. While she wants to think the best of them, reality has made it difficult for her to trust that belief fully.

That worry makes her very secretive and a little apprehensive of close physical contact, although Graypeta certainly craves it. Before Sgrub she would constantly snuggle with her lusus, who because of their shared traumas she's bonded with more intensely than a regular troll would with their lusus. Crabdad's death hits her a lot harder than the other trolls in the session, although she does her best to swallow this and move on. Graypeta is used to suppression of her feelings like that, as many of her problems are blood-related and thus impossible to talk about with her moirail.

Although Graypeta is understandably worried about being culled, she's otherwise fairly at peace with being a fugitive from the empire. She has no desire to be empress, content with trying to steer her moirail to more revolutionary policies instead. This is the only obvious result of being branded as a blood traitor - a passionate hatred for the hemospectrum and a whole-hearted belief that no one should have to hide who they are.

Because Crabdad kept her inside for most of her life, Graypeta is physically frailer than her green counterpart. When she fights she relies more heavily on speed and critical strikes than brute force - she's more likely to go for the jugular rather than slice an entire head off, for example. Her penchant for watching before saying anything comes in handy in social situations, where much like her green counterpart she's able to accurately glean people's true feelings.

Powers:

Nepeta is a seadwelling troll, and as such is able to breathe underwater through gills and withstand the immense pressure of the deeper levels of the ocean.

She also possesses a syalldex and strife specibus like most of the characters in Homestuck, which are basically a video game-style storage system for items and weapon respectively. Her weapon is still clawkind, although these claws resemble a crab's pincers more closely than Wolverine claws.

In Sgrub Nepeta was given the title Rogue of Blood, although she never truly understood what exactly it entailed. This didn't stop her from using its abilities unconsciously, however, and even without an ascension to god tier she is still quite capable of gaining a respectable mastery over them if she ever becomes aware of their existence.

At present she only utilizes the ever-present passive features, which consist of her blood disguising itself as other colors and shielding its true nature from detection by both supernatural means as well as the more conventional methods.

Because Nepeta doesn't consciously use the power it pulls colors from the nearest troll or her cherry red hood - so long as it's a viable blood color the powers will 'steal' it and present it as Nepeta's own. This ability doesn't affect Nepeta at all, as from her current canon point she knows no one able to see through her body and has made very sure that she hasn't bled on anything.

Should she ever become adept in her Blood powers, with a great expenditure of energy and concentration Nepeta would be able to more literally steal a person's blood and control their body like a puppet. At the time, however, she's nowhere near being able to pull this off.
